Newton Northern Nevada
So much has happened recently!
Yellow group was excited to get a new friend, Logan, to add to our school family. They also took advantage of the snow day and measured how many inches of snow we got while the kids learned to use different measuring tools. They are working so hard in math and trying to find different strategies for addition and subtraction. Yellow group also wrote some amazing letters for Mr. Cardoza, Ms. Brenda's brother, who is a veteran.
Orange group has been working on singular and plural nouns. Mrs. Kelley is teaching them how to tell time as well. I bet it came in handy with all those snow delays!
Purple group got to play Kahoot and test their knowledge on the characteristics of mammals. Did you know that pandas are born pink until their fur grows?
Blue group is beginning creative writing. This week, they worked on setting and character development. We can't wait to hear what they come up with!
Green group wants to welcome their newest student, Kaylynn. The weather and the snow delays really took a toll on our students routines and expectations, but we are so glad they were able to push through and stay focused!
