The Friends of the Bristol Public Library present Bingo!
Come to the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room on
Thursday, November 9 at 4:00 PM for fun and prizes!
Shut Up and Write Workshop: Thursdays from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Join us for an hour (or two) of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 5:30 PM on Thursday evenings.

SCHEDULE
5:30 PM: Getting settled
5:45 PM: Timer starts: write for 1 hour
6:45 PM: Five minute stretch break! You can also leave for the day if you need to (sometimes an hour is exactly the right amount and sometimes you need more!) You can also keep writing if you'd like and ignore the break.
7:30 PM: The End: chat, take off, or keep writing

OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 7:30 PM. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

BEING LATE OR LEAVING EARLY IS OKAY, just show up and get settled and start writing. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. If you need to leave early, you can leave any time you need to.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to listen to music for inspiration, help with focus, or any other reason that suits you. If you write on a laptop, we recommend bringing a laptop charger or fully charging your laptop beforehand.

The feedback session will take place from 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM in the Frances E. Kegley conference room, after the quiet writing session which starts at 5:30 PM. New folks are welcome.
The Spiritual Journey Discussion Group meets once a month in the Frances E. Kegley Conference Room to discuss a spiritual-themed book. This month, Melinda will facilitate an engaging and thought-provoking discussion on the theme of Trusting the Universe. Whether you have a well-established spiritual practice or are just beginning your journey of spiritual exploration, you're warmly invited to join us. We welcome individuals from all belief systems and backgrounds to come together and share their perspectives.
