Attendees are encouraged to bring a door prize to give them a chance to speak about their business.

Red, Blue and You, Celebrating Gwinnett's First Responders - Buford Arena, 2795 Sawnee Ave, Buford GA 30518

Join us as we celebrate the first responders who protect, serve and keep us safe!

Gwinnett’s law enforcement, fire and EMS will be honored at the ceremony and luncheon at the Buford Arena on November 16. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m.

Red, Blue and You is the Buford Business Alliance's charity of the quarter.

The BBA supports the event and encourages any member to come if they are able to do so to show support for those who serve and protect us.

Everyone who attends will receive a FREE lunch catered by Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q in Suwanee.

Buford Means Business!
Buford Business Alliance Holiday Festival and Parade is Saturday, Dec. 2
The most wonderful time of the year is rapidly approaching and that means one thing....

The annual Buford Business Alliance Holiday Festival and Parade.

The event is being held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, on Main Street in Downtown Buford. The parade begins at 9 a.m. and the festival begins immediately afterwards. The festivities end at 2 p.m.

Come out and show your support for the BBA, vendors, parade participants and the performers!

This year's Grand Marshall is Buford's own ESPN/SEC reporter, Andraya Carter! Andraya was a star player on the BHS basketball team. She went on to play basketball for the University of Tennessee.

Andraya has worked for ESPN/SEC Network since 2018 when she first started as a game analyst for men's basketball. She has since moved into reporting on women's college basketball and the WNBA, as well as college football.

Recent awards include being honored as the 2023 Dawn Staley Excellence in Broadcasting recipient, a 2022 University of Tennessee Alumni Promise Award winner, NSMA’s Best Young Reporter for 2022, and was named to The Athletic’s 40 Under 40: Rising Stars in Women’s Basketball, The Athletic’s 40 Under 40 in College Sports and The Athletic’s 20 for 20: Who’s Shaping the Future of Women’s Basketball.

Welcome new member!
The Buford Business Alliance continues to grow. Please welcome our newest member.

Members will be receiving Membership Seal
The Buford Business Alliance Board of Directors has approved using a membership seal and will begin distributing the badge to all current members.

The seal is intended for use by current members of the BBA on member websites and social media. The seal is a vector and can be easily placed over other images and logos.

The seal will be sent out to members via email over the coming week. If you are a member and fail to receive the seal by Friday, Nov. 10th, please reach out to Alicia at InsideBuford@gmail.com.
2023 Buford Business Alliance board member election information
In September and October, notice was given about this year's elections via the newsletter and at meetings. The BBA must elect a Vice President and a Treasurer during this year's elections. The deadline for members to announce their candidacy has passed.

Both incumbents announced their intention to seek re-election. No challengers came forward to run for either position.

Barbara Reynolds, having no challenger for the position of Vice President, will serve in the same capacity for the next two years.

Linda Gober, having no challenger for the position of Treasurer, will serve in the same capacity for the next two years.

Congratulations ladies and thank you for your service to the members of the alliance.
BBA Holiday Party
Details about the 2023 BBA Holiday Party will be released in the upcoming weeks. Keep your eye out for news about it!

The exact location details are still being worked out as we are weighing all our options.

Simply send the information by email to Alicia Payne and she will be able to insert it into the next month's newsletter.

All submissions must be turned in no later than the 15th of each month to make the following month's newsletter.
