Chardonnay Buccholz 2022

Peter Zemmer and HB Wine Merchants are proud to debut the new Chardonnay Buccholz 2022 wine in the USA this month.

The Buchholz zone is named after valley slopes above Salorno that date back to 1858 defined in historical cartography of the cadaster. Here the Chardonnay fruit achieves a perfect level of ripeness due to a combination of elevation with lower temperatures (-6°C) than the valley floor. The wine imparts fragrant minerality with rich fruit flavors of acacia, lime blossom and yellow plum. It's signature is its classic White Burgundy elegance and structure.

Ceralti’s great passion for viticulture is encouraged by the territory, its micro-climate and its geographic location. 11 hectares of vineyards, mainly situated on the hills between Castagneto and Bolgheri, the homeland of many world famous wines. The company boasts a long experience in the field of wine production. In 1997, Ceralti produced the first Bolgheri Rosso DOC, bottled after ageing in barriques. This small but mightly producer, located in the small south west corner of Tuscany, is known for producing intense wines comprised of Bordeaux-varietal blends. Here, instead of Sangiovese, the soils favor the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
