Dear Andrea,

This time of year it's important to reflect on all we have to be grateful for, and I feel blessed to work at El Camino College. Because of friends like you, we are helping thousands of students achieve their dreams, and for that we are thankful.

We are honored to announce this year's inductees joining our Distinguished Alumni Honor Roll. Please continue reading below for our complete list of 2024 Distinguished Alumni & Gratitude Award honorees. We will honor these awardees at a dinner on Friday, February 23, 2024, so please save the date and we hope you can join us!

Athletics Spotlight: Warrior Men's Soccer Ranked #1 Nationally

MEN'S SOCCER

For the fifth week in a row, the El Camino College men's soccer team has ranked No. 1 in the nation according to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College DIII Rankings.

The Warriors took over the top spot on October 3rd for the first time in the history of the USC National Poll. Since then, the Warriors have maintained their No. 1 ranking for the last five weeks (Polls 5 - 9).

Congratulations to all! We are rooting for your continued success on and off the field and perhaps, a Warriors National Championship!

Community Spotlight: SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk

The annual SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk rallied thousands of people on October 29 to walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier and back, in support of children with special needs and education.

El Camino College's Outreach & School Relations team had a booth at the event to promote the college and it's educational programs. And Andrea Sala, ECC Foundation Executive Director and Ann O'Brien, ECC MarComm Executive Director, both participated in the beach walk.

SKECHERS is a long-time Foundation community partner and we are happy to support such an amazing organization.

Community Spotlight: 2023 State of the County with LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn

On November 2nd, members of El Camino College and the El Camino College Foundation attended LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn's 2023 State of the County address at the Port of Los Angeles. Not only did we gain an update on the County, but we also learned about Hahn's vision for the future. El Camino College was also recognized by Supervisor Hahn as a great educational partner, helping to educate the future workforce in the South Bay.
