Giving Thanks & Preparing The Way

"Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths." (Mark 1:3)

As the season of Advent approaches, I give thanks for the many new supporters of XJA, our community partners, and all who have been striving to build up the mission from its inception. God's good gifts through God's people are great! This Advent my prayer is that all activities towards opening the doors of XJA "prepare the way of the Lord," as we prepare to meet the Lord in students, families, and new faculty and staff.

Renovation Update

Triveristy Construction has been hard at work. Parking lot has been cleared making way for the new build atrium that will serve as the main entrance to XJA and the Church of the Resurrection.

New framing is going up in the former classrooms, reconfiguring the interior into contemporary learning spaces that will serve the educational model of XJA and honor our future students.

Midwest Nativity Model Schools Gather for Retreat

In October, the XJA staff was lead on an Ignatian retreat by Fr. Greg Boyle, SJ, with the other Midwest Jesuit Nativity schools - Chicago Jesuit Academy, Jesuit Academy of Omaha, Nativity Jesuit of Milwaukee, The Welsh Academy of Cleveland - at the Loyola University Chicago's Retreat & Ecology Campus. It was a powerful and uplifting experience of God's love and delight in us all and our common mission.

XJA Outreach Teams

XJA Outreach Teams have been active in the neighborhood of Bond Hill, going door-to-door spreading the good news about XJA and recruiting students. We are grateful for our volunteers from Xavier University, St. Xavier High School, and the Church of the Resurrection. More outreach is planned for December. XJA has also been recruiting students at many neighborhood events in Bond Hill, Roselawn, and beyond.

APPLY NOW to be part of first classes of rising 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade boys for the 2024-25 academic year. Application deadline is December 31, 2023. Interviews will be held in January.
