Learning to Manage Life with Diabetes

You can live healthy and well with Diabetes. It just takes some education and good lifestyle habits and choices. Here are some things to consider:

  1. If your doctor prescribes medication to help manage your diabetes, take it. If it's not working for you, reach out and have a conversation with your doctor to find an alternative.
  2. Find a form of movement that you enjoy and do it every day if you can...walking, biking, exercise classes, etc.
  3. Learn how to manage diabetes with your diet; the Diabetes Health Plan assists you with this process, and you can also schedule an appointment with our Dietitian Nicole for assistance.
  4. Take a breath...learn how to manage your stress and find healthy outlets for stress. One day at a time, one task at a time, one problem at a time. When needed, get help.
