Don't Let Your Bonus Bite Back


You pay your employees a bonus for good performance, productivity, or working unpopular shifts. When a non-exempt employee who regularly earns $15/hour works overtime, must you include the value of the bonus in that employee's "regular rate" of pay for overtime calculations?

NLRB GC Issues Key Memo #1 -

Non-Competes & Stay or Pay Policies


On Friday, December 6th, the NLRB GC will begin enforcing the position that certain stay-or-pay policies presumptively violate the National Labor Relations Act. The memo describing the rationale was published on October 7, 2024, and gave employers 60 days to "take affirmative action to conform the provisions to the framework and notify employees of the changes."
