Uncovering Indiana’s Unique Museums with Elizabeth Bostelman, Board President of the Association of Indiana Museums

From the hands-on exhibits at WonderLab and the classic cars of the Duesenberg Museum to the beloved Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Elizabeth shares her insights and personal experiences, offering a behind-the-scenes look at these unique destinations. She also highlights quirky spots like kidscommons, famous for its giant toilet slide, and the powerful CANDLES Holocaust Museum, founded by Holocaust survivor Eva Kor.

GET READY FOR THE GRAND REOPENING OF ANGEL MOUNDS!

November 16-17th | 10am-5pm

Come celebrate the reopening of the visitors center after its extensive 2 year renovation, including all new exhibits. Enjoy two days of festivities including 7 Native American fine artists showing and selling their art to add to the celebration. Guided grounds tours will occur every two hours as well. 10:00-5:00 both days.

Created by Jenn Edginton, this toolkit is based on findings from a qualitative research study that included museum site visits and conversations with museum practitioners. This research found that Indigenous community members need allies within museums to feel safe, seen, and welcome in spaces. This toolkit’s goal is to help the next set of museum leaders, decolonizers, and accomplices learn to look at their institution and work critically, and enter into a space of allyship for Indigenous communities.
