ACAA Annual Candidates Conference & Leadership Reception |
Last week, the ACAA held its annual Candidates Conference & Leadership Reception at Portage Country Club with Emilia Sykes (D) and Kevin Coughlin (R), the two candidates running for Ohio's 13th Congressional District. The candidates shared their priorities for elected office and discussed their stances on issues such as immigration reform, the repurposing of vacant/obsolete office space, tax policy impacting small businesses, repealing R&D amortization, increasing housing stock, energy independence, and the facilitation of access to childcare.
This unique event gave business executives, elected officials, candidates, economic development partners, and other community stakeholders across the Akron-Canton region an opportunity to interact with key decision-makers ahead of the General Election. We want to thank our candidates and guests for joining us at this annual event!
