Jodi LoDolce

Meet New Advisory Board Member Jodi LoDolce

The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing's Advisory Board welcomed its newest member, Jodi LoDolce, MBA, BSN, RN, to the 2024-25 Advisory Board earlier this semester. LoDolce serves as the chief nursing officer at HCA Florida JFK Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest health care system in the state.

What inspired you to join the College of Nursing as an advisory board member?

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the advisory board of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. As a hospital nurse executive, I believe that all nurses have a responsibility to drive improvements in health and lead the way for positive change in health care. As a board member, I will contribute my experience and expertise to support the college’s mission. This role will also allow me to assist in advancing the institution’s focus on excellence, growth, research and fostering strong clinical partnerships.

How do you plan to support the college’s nursing education program as a board member?

I plan to contribute by serving as a liaison between the College of Nursing and the clinical practice environment. I have the privilege of observing many of our nursing students as they complete their clinical rotations, transition into hospital roles as nurse externs and advance from new graduates to experienced nurses pursuing higher degrees. Additionally, my position as a hospital nurse leader gives me valuable insight into the evolving trends and best practices in health care, which I will bring forward to help guide the strategic development of the college’s nursing programs.

What do you admire most about our students?

I deeply admire their level of engagement and dedication to learning, as well as their commitment to advocacy and strong sense of professionalism.

What is your hope for the future of the college?

My hope is to continue to align with Christine E. Lynn’s vision of providing exceptional nursing care while advocating for the nursing profession.

Could you share some of your professional and personal interests?

I have had the privilege of being a nurse for over 30 years, with a clinical background in emergency nursing, where I eventually transitioned into leadership. As a hospital executive, my priority is to foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes patient-centered, evidence-based quality care.

Personally, my husband and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at the end of October. We have two children and enjoy time spent with family, as well as boating and traveling.
