Nels Matson runs cross-country

USF alum Nels Matson completed a cross-country run honoring U.S. veterans. The ultrarunner finished the 3,063-mile mission in record time, clocking in as the third- fastest transcontinental run in history at 46 days, 17 hours and 26 minutes.

Greg Greenhalgh, an assistant professor in the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management program, received the 2024 Sutton Award from the Sport Marketing Association.

 

Seden Dogan, an assistant professor of instruction in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, received the Emerald Literati Outstanding Reviewer Award. 


Denny Yin, an associate professor in the School of Information Systems and Management, received the 2023 ISR Best Paper Runner-Up Award.


Priya Dozier, an assistant professor of instruction at the Kate Tiedemann School of Business and Finance, presented at the USF AI+X Symposium.


Matthew Mullarkey, a professor of instruction in the School of Information Systems and Management, presented at the United Nations General Assembly Digital Health Symposium.

Avijit Sengupta (21, PhD, Business Administration and Management) received the Best Social Impact Paper Award at the 2024 Conference on Information Systems and Technology for his paper in MIS Quarterly


Nate Calvert (24, EMBA) was named to the Emerging Leaders Class of 2024 by the International Sanitary Supply Association.


Genine Daux (10, Marketing) is a senior manager for customer solutions at Pernod Ricard.


Cristienn Joudaane (11, MBA, International Business and Management) started a new position as vice president for program management advisory and execution COO at Citi.

A new USF study co-authored by A.J. Chauradia, an assistant professor of instruction, highlights how empowering rural women in India through microentrepreneurship leads to significant economic and social gains.


The research, recently published in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, found that female microentrepreneurs show a 40.8% increase in customer engagement and a 64.1% rise in economic value delivered compared to male microentrepreneurs.
