Save America - Vote Republican! November 2024
President's Message by Kay Wildt
STRONG, INTELLIGENT WOMEN STAND WITH TRUMP!
What a combination - an insulting TV ad suggesting Republican women are so weak that we hide our opinions from our husbands and Kamala's money man, Mark Cuban, insinuating we are both weak and dumb.
As President Julie Harris of the National Federation of Republican Women said in the November 4th Capital Connection, "Women are capable of being bold leaders, informed voters, and strong advocates for their beliefs." "We are not silent. We are not hidden. We are a part of shaping the future of our nation."
NCFRW women ARE strong, intelligent women who stand with President Trump!

Reflection by Margeaux Holland
Father, you tell us to pray “for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” May we live in Imago Dei…in your image.
You said to come boldly before your throne that we might find peace and strength in times of need…we are in need, Lord.
Read the whole prayer...

Now five weeks after Hurricane Helene, Western North Carolina continues to dig itself out from destruction and tragic loss of life and property. Amazing progress clearing and reopening roads is underway. Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers immediately on site - Samaritan's Purse, Baptists on Mission, the Cajun Navy, Lt. Governor Mark Robinson - and many churches, private groups and individuals.
It is heartening that many continue to arrive, like Amish builders from PA, who are constructing shelter for those who have lost everything, especially now with winter here. We appreciate Elon Musk for providing Starlink internet service and are grateful that President Trump came to Swannanoa to view the devastation first hand.
In McDowell County where 60% of our nation's IV fluids are produced, a second temporary bridge was installed to keep those vital supplies going to hospitals, and that is great news for the health of patients across America.
The good folks of western North Carolina will need help for a long time, so for anyone who can come and work, NC welcomes you. If you want to donate funds, Samaritan's Purse or Baptists on Mission, continue to provide excellent help.

When I heard Laurel Brooks speak about My Faith Votes (MFV) at Alamance RW's November 2023 meeting, I thought, "What an amazing project and how perfect for NCFRW and the 2024 election." Little did I know how perfect it would be.
The project, "Write Now," targets swing-state registered Republican voters who do not vote and urges them to vote biblical values. In NC, MFV identified over 87,000 voters, and I'm delighted to report that every one of those voters received a letter, but there's more.
NCFRW joined with other conservative groups, including other NFRW members and state federations, and after we completed the 87,000, MFV gave us another! 70,000+ NC names. In all, 143,605 NC voters were contacted!
A spot check by Erica Vedeikis, President of Rowan RW and VP of the Foothill Region, after seven days of early voting showed over a 50% turnout of the targeted group. While in Cleveland County, NCFRW Treasurer Pam Keller noted a large number of older voters who were voting for the very first time in their lives.
In all the swing states, the total voters reached is 890,000, including over 300,000 in Pennsylvania.
NCFRW chose not to make this project a contest; however, of the 42,555 letters sent by our NCFRW members and clubs, Forsyth Republican Women sent 22,500 letters. Thank you to the members of Forsyth RW and to President Anita Moody and project manager, Joan Fleming.
The My Faith Votes "Write Now" project may turn out to be the difference in our winning the swing states. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Moore Republican Women called on NC-78 Representative Neal Jackson, pastor of the Beulah Baptist Church, to pray over the 5,500 letters that our members wrote as part of our My Faith Votes project.
NC Senator Tom McInnis and local elected officials supported us. We thank all those who contributed their time and supported our project in so many ways.

As of Sunday morning, 11/3, including absentee voting, 4,465,548 voters have cast their ballot in the 2024 general election. That’s 57% of the state’s 7.8 million registered voters.
Voters in the 25 Western North Carolina* counties affected by Hurricane Helene continue to outpace the rest of the state in voter turnout. Through Saturday, turnout in those 25 counties was 58.9%, about 2% higher than the statewide turnout.
*Kay was speaking with Michele Woodhouse, NCGOP District 11 Chair in the western NC mountains, and Michele said because of FEMA's delayed arrival and mishandling of the crisis, voters in the western region will "crawl over broken glass to vote."

Beverly Owensby Campaign Chair of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) and NCFRW's own Kyshia Brassington, NC National Committee-woman, led our NCFRW members and local volunteers of all ages in a mighty Strike Force that gathered at the NCGOP headquarters in Huntersville.
Emily Stack, President of the North Carolina Federation of Young Republicans (NCYR) brought her team from across the state.
We thank the NFRW volunteers from many other state federations who came with Beverly to the Charlotte area and spent an entire week helping door knock and making calls for our election.

November tip: Growing your club
Two main reasons that members give for joining our clubs and our federation:
- They are personally fulfilled by the activities your club offers them.
- They are proud to support what your club does, even if they are not personally involved.
Create events or opportunities that give women a reason to join and participate - friendly meetings, good speakers, volunteer or community projects like Caring for America, Armed Services, Literacy, and others.
The key: Consistent engagement! Communicate on a regular basis, possibly through a newsletter. If you have a FaceBook page, "X" account or other public media, create posts they can "like" or "share" and feature projects and events sponsored by your club.
Your passion and enthusiasm are contagious.
Everyone wants to part of a winning team!

Veterans Day, Never Enough
"Thank you for your service" is often used, yet it never fully expresses to our veterans how grateful we are for their bravery and willingness to serve our nation in whatever capacity.
That service may come at a terrible cost, and our words cannot begin to repay them. So, we use this day to honor all who serve intending that it will show our love and our respect to each one. For these are our own daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, wives, husbands, mothers and fathers.
Thank you for your service, and may God bless you.
