I can’t believe November is here. November is a time to express thanks and appreciation. I’d like to thank all those who have worked so hard to make 2024 a great year for the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. Thanks to my fellow Board of Directors, Chamber Staff, Committee Chairs, Volunteers, Sponsors and all Chamber members for the work and support throughout the year. It’s truly our members that make our Chamber great.
We start November with a great networking opportunity. Emerge Wealth Strategies is hosting a Business After Hours on November 7th from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Be sure to stop by and network with other Chamber members. Then we have Ribbon Cutting at Limitless Events on November 21st from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. with the ribbon cutting taking place at 5:15 p.m.
The Lisle Area Chamber Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K is schedule for November 17th. This family-friendly event is always a good time. Race day registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts 9:00 a.m. You can visit the Chamber website for more information.
As you start thinking about holiday shopping, please remember to support our local businesses. The Lisle area has a lot to offer and you’re sure to find a special gift for everybody on list. You can always start by checking the Lisle Area Chamber membership list.

Michael Lo
Kiwanis Club of Lisle
This month's featured Ambassador is Michael Lo of the Kiwanis Club of Lisle. The Kiwanis Club of Lisle has been a Chamber member for almost 25 years. Michael enjoys being an Ambassador because it allows him to meet the ambitious people who try to open new businesses in Lisle. In the past, it has been a great way for the Kiwanis Club to recruit members.
Michael is the Senior Account Manager at CleNET Technologies. He handles recruiting, business development for an information technology company and has been in the field for 27 years. Michael lives in Lisle and has a daughter, Vivian and a dog, Hiccup. He enjoys golf and reading books. Michael thinks people respect doers over talkers so one of his favorite quotes is from Ben Franklin, "Well done, is better than well said".

Little Pops NY Pizzeria Trattoria held their ribbon cutting on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at their location in Lisle. Little Pops NY Pizzeria Trattoria is located at 2799 Maple Avenue, Lisle.
Growing up in Dutchess County, New York, 65-miles north of NYC, they are passionate about New York Pizza and Old School Italian Flavors. Never owning a restaurant and needing a career change, they took a leap of faith and opened Little Pops (named after Vicki’s “Shorter” Grandfather). With help from their brother Louis and his son, Steven, who own Little Pops Pizza in Maybrook, NY, they took the family traditions and recipes handed down to us and opened Little Pops Pizzeria. “Fall Into Business” was the name of the Multi-Chamber Progressive Networking luncheon held this month, which is apropos for this season. A record number of attendees came to the luncheon and 19 different Chambers participated. There were over 260 participants. Wow, those are a lot of potential leads for businesses. It was a great for me to connect with our members that attended this luncheon. Many stayed longer than the event to continue their networking conversations. These Multi-Chamber networking luncheons are great avenues to meet with businesses you might never have been able to network with. Watch your emails for events that give you networking opportunities so that you can make the most our of your Chamber membership.
As we prepare for the coming winter, your company might want to think of ways to change up your marketing strategies. How do we be clever and get customers and clients to come out and shop and dine. Social media is one of the best tools your business can utilize. Short videos seem to get the most hits. I am no expert but, I have noticed when we post short videos, we receive the most interaction.
We have our Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K on November 17th and the race will take place through the beautiful Lisle Community Park. We will have free hot chocolate and coffee at the event and Culver’s Downers Grove/Lisle has generously donated a gift voucher for a free value basket to every runner. With your race entry, a portion will be donated to the Chamber’s Scholarship Fund. You can sign up online by visiting our website or you can come by the Chamber office located in Lisle Village Hall.
