Prentice Institute Affiliate, Perry Stein, City of Lethbridge Partner Services Manager, is a contributing author to "The International Participatory Charter for Urban & Territoria l Development to Deliver the New Urban Agenda" including authoring a Case Study to showcase the Principles of the Charter.
Perry's case study is titled "Inclusive Spatial Planning from Canada: City of Lethbridge Municipal Development Plan."
The Charter and Case Studies were presented at the UN-Habitat World Urban Forum 12, which took place in Cairo November 4-8, 2024. Perry's authorship on both of those documents includes his Research Affiliate status with the Prentice Institute.

Dr. Julia Brassolotto recently received a SSHRC Insight Grant to study autonomy and vulnerability in the context of medical assistance in dying (MAiD).

On September 26th 2024 Prentice Institute Affiliates Tara Million (Department of Indigenous Studies) and Patrick Wilson (Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics) moderated a panel entitled “Indigenization and Intercultural Collaboration in Municipal and Postsecondary Contexts.” Scheduled as part of the events marking the Truth and Reconciliation Week, the panel was delivered as a Talking Circle to an audience of students, faculty and University administrators. Participants included Andrea Cuéllar (Associate Director, Prentice Institute); Prentice Institute Affiliates Michelle Hogue (Indigenous Studies), Ross Kilgour (City of Lethbridge), Perry Stein (City of Lethbridge); and Camina Weasel Moccassin (International Buffalo Relations Institute and Galt Museum). The panel was co-sponsored by the Prentice Institute, Iikaisskini, and the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics. | |
