Greetings, Parents, and Families of Steubenville High School,
The past four weeks have been another exciting month at SHS filled with accomplishments in and out of the classroom. Our fall sports teams experienced an abundance of success. Our football team rattled off seven straight victories and is still competing in the playoffs. Our winter sports teams are getting ready for the transition to their upcoming seasons.
I know it’s something we all remark upon but, wow, time flies! It is hard to believe we are over a quarter into the school year. We are already approaching the end of the 2nd week of the 2nd grading period! Now is the time for students to buckle down and “put in work” as it relates to their academics. We encourage parents and family members to support and engage students, supporting the work they do here. This demonstrates to students that you know, understand, and value the importance of the work “we” do. It helps them prioritize and take responsibility for their learning.
As we move into the busy, exciting and sometimes stressful holiday season, remember to be grateful for what we have, helping where you can, when you can, and always assume the best intentions. In a world with so much uncertainty and acrimony, try to focus on what we can control and block out the noise. There is much to be thankful for this holiday season. I think that’s a message we all can agree on!
Thank you for your continued support! I am proud to serve Steubenville High School and the Steubenville community. I hope to see you at our upcoming sporting events, musical performances, and other various activities, and as always...Roll Red!
