New and Upcoming in HMIS

Mandatory Security Training for ALL HMIS Users!

The CoC Board has recently approved a mandatory training on HMIS Privacy and Security expectations for ALL HMIS Users. This purpose of this training will be to ensure everyone with HMIS access has an extensive understanding of how to keep our clients' sensitive data protected, in both the virtual and physical worlds.

This training will cover the differences between inferred and informed consent, use of Releases of Information, acceptable uses of HMIS access and potential consequences for misuse of access, and more. It is expected to take approximately 1 hour.

The first round of trainings will be available live over Teams through November and early December. Any active users who have not attended a session of this training by end of January will be deactivated until such training has been completed.

Agency HMIS Security Officers will be charged with distribution of notices to staff and will be notified of attendance/compliance. Further instructions will be sent soon.

Users may begin enrolling in their preferred sessions by using the link below. Only 1 session is needed for completing this requirement. Each user will need their own invitation to count for attendance, no mass-conference calls will be accepted.

New Vendor Branding -

ClientTrack by CaseWorthy

On December 1, 2025, our HMIS vendor CaseWorthy is officially unifying its two flagship applications under a single name and identity: Client Track by CaseWorthy. CaseWorthy intends for this new branding to reflect the "weaving together of both applications to create the best version of the platformthe most powerful features, the most intuitive workflows, and the smartest technology."

The "CaseWorthy" application name will be retired as they implement these changes. Some basic UI changes will be expected as we gradually move forward. Any major changes will be communicated to users as the HMIS Team receives notice of them.

HMIS Team Out of Office for November Holidays

The HMIS Team will be unavailable Tuesday 11/11 in observance of Veterans Day.

We will also be out of office Thursday 11/27 and Friday 11/28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

October HMIS Bug Fixes

The search filter and additional columns for the Case Management > Services+ page have been restored. If users are still unable to properly search services by date, please submit a ticket to HMIS.Support@havenforhope.org.

SNAP Benefits Drilldown

In these uncertain times, we understand that the clients we serve are often the most vulnerable. With SNAP benefits being reduced or delayed, we encourage our agencies to utilize HMIS as much as possible to help find clients who may need additional support in accessing food and other necessities.

To quickly find this information, HMIS recommends viewing a client drilldown on an APR report and filtering the SNAP column. From there, users can locate clients who are actively receiving these benefits.
