A Note from the Executive Director | | |
Countdown to Head to Toe!!
Are you registered and ready for the 2025 annual school health conference? We are hoping to see every SBHC represented and every possible partner attend either the SBHC Pre-Conference or the full conference or both! Since it is also our 25th anniversary year, we are doing everything possible to make sure this celebration is special. Not only are we covering the cost of the pre-conference and hosting it at Hotel Andaluz, we're also providing a feast of goodies for SBHCs to take home with them. These items, while celebratory, are aimed at addressing the very real and increasing needs youth and families have for basic needs. This month, and throughout the year, we are so grateful for all SBHCs do for New Mexicans!
If you have any questions, please reach out to us, but please note that after noon on 11/3 and through 11/7, we'll be working on the conference and less available by phone and email. Meantime, if you can't attend, please feel free to celebrate this milestone by supporting NMASBHC's annual fundraising raffle or by making a donation to your local SBHC!
Giving thanks for you this November!

NM Lions Operation KidSight &
SBHC Partnership Opportunity
| | | | |
New Mexico Lions Operation KidSight, Inc. is a 501c3 organization, working to establish and maintain a sustainable program to provide annual eye screenings and follow-up eye exams and treatment, if needed, for all young children in New Mexico. The program also is working with local and national partners to provide additional avenues to help youth and families increase access to eye exams and glasses.
NMASBHC is partnering with the program to increase access for students and families served by their SBHCs. SBHCs can request a frames kit for the Spare Pair program to have in your site. This increases access to the frames that can be ordered through the program. If your SBHC is interested in participating in this program that provides free glasses to patients, please email Wilma at wilma@nmasbhc.org.
