NCFRW – Thankful for the blessings of Liberty!

November 2025

From the desk of Kay Wildt, NCFRW President

"Let's get to work. We have a Country to save." Charlie Kirk

November, the Season of Thankfulness is here, and oh my, we have so much to acknowledge. We are thankful for:

President Donald J. Trump, who has accomplished more in his first ten months than many others have done in their entire terms of office. His blend of tough negotiating, humor and, above all, caring for the American people, is unequaled.

The United States Marine Corps, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of its founding on November 10, 1775. Theirs is a history of unequaled courage reflected in their motto, "Semper Fidelis," adopted in 1883.

The American Veteran, when our nation asked for sacrifice, patriots stood up and faced unbelievable dangers - from before the founding of our nation, to overseas warfare, to our own internal struggles - brave women and men gave their all.

Thanksgiving Day, when we thank God for our nation and commemorate an event in 1621 when early settlers and local natives shared a harvest.

Our nation is almost 250 years old, and many died over those years to give us the opportunities that we have today. We owe it to those patriots to keep America strong and great. Let us each do our part to keep our Party united, so we may be a shield for our families and our nation against our very real enemies both foreign and domestic.

Each day, be grateful, show compassion and pray for others. God is listening.

Reflection by Margeaux Holland, Chaplain

In the midst of change He never changes

In our beautiful United States, we have the cherished gift of change. If a policy made is truly not for the good of our children, we can get on our knees and pray, then get on our feet and do something about it. If a person in office is nonsensical one too many times, we can get on our knees again, and then rise to our feet and run against them.

So, it is with unending grateful hearts we are grateful that our gracious father does not change. He said, “I the Lord do not change.” Malachi 3:6.

He is wisdom, righteousness, redeemer, full of grace, all knowing. He wants to work those things in us, and we in turn work them out in our homes, counties, state, and nation. We are a light set on a hill that others may have hope. He is hope.

So, build your life on the Rock and not the sand and be a touchstone of grace and strength. Because He lives…

Mississippi Federation of RW

(L to R., Ann Schockett, Past President NFRW, Linda Gay Wilson, Kay Wildt)

Penny Payne, President of the Mississippi Federation of Republican Women asked Ann Schockett and Kay Wildt to speak at the MFRW Biennial Convention in Flowood, MS. Ann spoke about leadership, and Kay shared ideas about how to win NFRW's awards.

Ann Schockett chairs the NFRW Program Committee on which Kay and Linda Gay Wilson of Mississippi FRW serve, so this was a welcome opportunity for a mini gathering of committee members. Linda's husband, Bill Wilson, created artwork for our committee and gave us a copy of The Mississippi Governor's Mansion which Bill illustrated with his gorgeous paintings.

Congratulations to Dianne Pickering, President-Elect of the Mississippi Federation who takes office on January 1st.
