From the Executive Director

A Season of Thanks: Gratitude from All of Us at Independence Alliance

Dear Friends:

As the crisp air of November settles in and we prepare for the season of tradition and togetherness, I would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who makes achieving our unique mission possible.

To our valued collaborative partners, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our shared vision. Your support strengthens our foundation and propels us forward with purpose.

To our consumers, your trust and engagement inspire us daily. We are honored to serve you and remain committed to excellence in everything we do, especially toward you maintaining your independence.

To our supporters, your encouragement fuels our mission. Whether through kind words, generous contributions, or simply spreading the word, you help us grow and thrive.

To our resolute staff, thank you for your tireless commitment, creativity, and compassion. You are the heartbeat of our organization, and we are endlessly grateful for your efforts.

And to our volunteer board of directors, your guidance to assure the organization remains true to our mission is deserving of our deepest gratitude.

This season reminds us that gratitude is more than a feeling; it is a practice. We carry it with us into every decision, every interaction, and every step forward.

My family wishes you and your loved ones a thankful and gratitude-filled November.

Warmly,

Rob

Our Call to Action!!

Annually we engage with our community to raise funds that help us provide gift cards to our consumers with limited income and resources through our Holiday Project. In the past these gift cards were distributed in December and empowered individuals and families to purchase items that best fit their specific needs such as food or household items. While our goal is to provide this holiday support again this year, currently many individuals and families with disabilities are experiencing food insecurity resulting in an immediate need for a call to action.

We need your support now!

Please consider making your

donation today!

To increase the impact of every dollar we raise, Independence Alliance will match your donation through our Emergency Assistance Funds. These funds will be distributed to consumers through gift cards that will give them access to grocery items.

We appreciate your support. Your cash donations will allow us to effectively support the immediate needs of our consumers. Thank you!

Ride Metro Fare-Free on Election Day, November 4!

Mission Moment: Empowerment

Our Empowerment through Vision Project recently purchased several low vision assistive devices for a new consumer to assist her with daily tasks such as reading documents at work and food labels at home. The goal of this project is to enhance the quality of life for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, which ultimately increases their independence.

Would you or someone you know who is visually impaired benefit from receiving assistive items such mobility or navigation aids, computer access, reading aids, or daily living aids? Use this referral form to let us know how we can help!
