Angel Tree Fundraiser

For many years now the Angel Tree program organized by Libby Clark has been an integral part of providing Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in our community. Working with our school district and the Department of Family Services, Libby and the program have made Christmas magical for thousands of families. This year, due to a loss of partial funding from the Department of Family Services, the program will be hosting a fundraiser. The event will be held Friday, November 7th from 11am-2pm at the Poplar Bluff Realty office (311 Piedmont Ave). A bowl of homemade chili, crackers, 1/2 peanut butter and syrup sandwich and a bottle of water will be served for just $10. Donations will also be welcomed. Delivery will be available for local businesses when ordered ahead. For more details, info on how to get involved or to make a donation please contact Libby at 573-429-0303.

Christmas is Coming

Parade will begin at the old Brown Shoe Factory parking lot at 6pm. Registration and lineup starting at 5pm. Christmas Tree lighting and Santa meet and greet to follow. The Festival of Lights setup will begin Nov. 24th. This is a great opportunity for free advertisement for your business. If you would like to set up a display please contact the Chamber at chamber@visitpiedmontmo.com. The annual Breakfast with Santa will be held on Dec. 6th at Pine Hill Drive In. Patterson Community Center will also be hosting its 35th Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 6th. Finally, be on the lookout for coming details about the Shop Local Holiday Passport being organized by the Small Business Owners group.
