November 2025 PKD e-News

Welcome to the November 2025 PKD e-News from the PKD Foundation of Canada! This month we have information on a PKD research study you might be eligible for, some upcoming French-language webinars, understanding the connection between PKD and PLD, and more!

Step In With Feedback

What did this year's Walk to END PKD feel like? Maybe you walked with family, maybe you cheered from the sidelines, or maybe you met someone who understood your PKD story in a way that caught you off guard.

However your Walk to END PKD or PKD Picnic went, your experience matters. We are already planning for next year, and your feedback helps shape the events.

If you have 2 minutes, we would love to hear what worked well and what could be even better.

Turn Gains Into Good

Did you know your investments can help people affected by PKD?

Many people give to charity through monthly gifts or one-time donations, but gifts of securities can make an even bigger impact. It's an option that some donors never realize they have, yet it can support vital PKD programs or research in a meaningful and tax-smart way.

Through the CanadaHelps website, you can donate securities from your investment portfolio with a simple online process.

If you are curious, or thinking about giving before the year ends, you can explore how it works and decide if it is right for you.

Make Your Impact

The MAPLE study is looking for Canadians with ADPKD to help test a possible treatment.

If you’re between 25 and 65 and live in or near Ontario or Quebec, this could be your chance to support real change.

Not sure if the study is right for you? Talk to your doctor about your eligibility for the clinical trial. If you have questions about the study, post your questions on My PKD and we’ll get answers directly from the GSK study team.
