A Message from Our President
As we come together this November, I am especially reminded of the
gratitude, strength, and unity that define the Palo Verde Republican
Women. Even in these final days of the month, your commitment to
service, leadership, and community continues to shine brightly.
With the 2026–27 officer election now complete, I extend my warmest congratulations to our newly elected board. These exceptional women will be sworn in at our December 10th luncheon, and I hope you will join us in celebrating and supporting them as they begin their term. PVRW thrives because strong women step forward—and because the rest of us walk alongside them to support them.
| | |
At our November meeting, PVRW also unanimously passed a
Resolution in Support of Our Jewish Members, the Jewish Community,
and the State of Israel
In light of rising antisemitism across the country, our club made a clear and unified statement that we stand firmly against all forms of hate and discrimination. We reaffirmed our belief in the safety, dignity, and religious freedom of all people, and expressed our continued support for Israel’s right to exist and defend itself.
Thank you to our members for demonstrating courage, compassion, and unity on this important issue.
| | |
This month we also continue our annual PVRW giving program benefiting AZLEOS Shop with a Cop and Shop with a Sheepdog. This initiative pairs officers with children in need, giving them an unforgettable holiday experience filled with joy, dignity, and hope. A donation link will be provided - please consider contributing. Donate HERE.
| | | | Thanks to the generosity of many, we have already raised enough to take 650 children, but we are still 150 children short of meeting the officers’ request list this Christmas. Every dollar truly makes a difference. | | |
We also need volunteers to help wrap gifts for the children:
Saturday, December 6
South Scottsdale Walmart – Pima Road
8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
If you’re able to volunteer, please email cindy.hill@azleos.org with your name and email address. Your time and kindness will help make Christmas morning magical for a child who needs it most.
I would also like to thank Mesa Republican Women and Chandler Republican Women for supporting this program. They are donating and volunteering to wrap gifts in their cities. We truly are all in this together as we support our police, military, our community, and our kids.
As we enter this season of gratitude and celebration, may God bless you, your families, and our great country.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Stay Safe.

Hello Ladies,
Happy December! This will be my last newsletter to you as 1st VP of this amazing Club. I’ve loved serving you as 1st VP and I am now termed out. I’m very excited for Deb Oberhamer to follow me, and I know she is going to do an amazing job bringing you her energy and new ideas.
We had a very full November luncheon. The political season has started early this year. We heard from Elijah Norton - the only Republican running for State Treasurer. Also joining us was Alex Kolodin, candidate for Secretary of State. His expertise in election law will be a welcome addition to this State. Scottsdale City Councilman, Barry Graham, outlined many of the issues facing Scottsdale. He is running for a 2nd term, and it’s important that we support him. Finally, our long-time friend, George Khalaf briefed us on his candidacy for LD3 House of Representatives. This particular office is already crowded with many Democrats running. As we enjoy the holidays, we’ll look forward to next year and concentrate our energy on electing Republicans who can win in the General Election.
| | |
Our December luncheon will feature Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell who will bring us up to date on the latest events and accomplishments in her office. She will then swear in our new PVRW Board which will be followed by our new president, Casey Hargett, who will provide her vision for her 26-27 term of office.
We will also hear from Rileigh Simon, Turning Point Action's area representative, who will share an organizational update as well as an inspirational message from Erika Kirk.
City council woman, Kathy Littlefield and her husband, Bob Littlefield will delight us as Santa & Mrs. Claus. Feel free to snap a photo with them!

Understanding how to properly sign a candidate petition in Arizona is essential for every voter.
Your signature carries real weight! It helps determine which candidates qualify for the ballot and ensures our elections reflect genuine community support. Knowing the rules protects you from accidentally signing too many petitions, signing for candidates you don’t truly support, or missing your right to withdraw a signature if you change your mind.
Taking a few minutes to learn the guidelines empowers you to participate confidently, support the candidates you believe in, and help maintain the integrity of our election process.

We are blessed to have the Bible brought to our shores when the Pilgrims came to America. This was a spiritual foundation that is embedded in our Constitution.
Let us make a concerted effort to give thanks to our forefathers who gave their all so we may live in a country where we enjoy our freedom.
Thanks be to God.
