Every Candidate Who Stepped Forward: Thank You
Running for public office takes courage, dedication, and a willingness to put yourself out there in service of something bigger.
To every Democratic candidate who stepped forward in 2026, thank you. Whether your name appears in the winner's column or not, your hard work, sacrifices, and commitment to the people of South Carolina deserve recognition.
You spent countless hours meeting voters, attending events, knocking on doors, and sharing your vision for a better future. You gave people a choice, brought important issues into the conversation, and reminded our communities that every voice deserves to be heard.
An election may determine who holds office, but it does not diminish the value of those who had the courage to run.
From all of us at the Aiken County Democratic Party, thank you for stepping up, standing strong, and giving so much of yourselves to this election.
