Kingston Free Library Building's 250th Birthday Party!

Built in 1776, this building has been many things throughout its 250 years. It was one of five statehouses during the Revolution before serving as the Washington County Courthouse in the 19th century. Then, in 1895, the newly formed Kingston Free Library and Reading Room moved in, and it's been the village's public library ever since.

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated Kingston's historic library building! We had a great time sharing the history of our building, fond memories, and delicious cake! Here's to another 250!
