Happy Thanksgiving!
Today our 4th graders led our monthly K-5 Morning Meeting in the gym. As part of their meeting, they had each Peabody lower school student write something they are thankful for on a leaf. This afternoon they compiled their "Peabody Tree of Thanks".

Curious what our Peabody kids are thankful for? Their friends, their pets, their school, and -- most of all -- their families!

We're pretty thankful for our Peabody families, too! Thank you for being part of this special community. We are grateful everyday that you have chosen to share your children with us.

As a reminder, Peabody School is closed for the remainder of the week. Have a happy Thanksgiving. See you on Monday!

Peabody's Got Talent!

Peabody School's annual Talent Show was a tremendous success!

The breadth of talent we have here at Peabody is truly remarkable: we enjoyed breakdancing, a jazz quartet, ballroom dancing, singing, piano, violin, a full rock band, and even a harp player! A huge thank you to Matt Wyatt, Ellen Kasiske, and Travis Miller for orchestrating such a special evening for our Peabody students to share their unique talents!

Peabody Lego League Comes in First Place!

A huge congratulations to our Peabody FIRST Lego League Team consisting of Kes Rodgers, Ronak Ailawadi,  William McClellan, Tristan Olowin, and team coach Kathleen Olowin. They placed FIRST in their competition this Saturday in Richmond!  The team has worked very hard over the last several months. Go Peabody!

8th Grade Families: Looking Ahead to High School

Many eighth grade families are already thinking about high school. Parents of younger students might also be interested in taking a look at our first-ever Life After Peabody: A High School Primer. This guide will help families as they consider ninth grade options -- we are so proud of our Peabody alums who are thriving in the many excellent high school programs that the Charlottesville area offers.

Car Wash Success!

The 8th grade class would like to thank all the parents and teachers who supported their first fundraising carwash. The students worked hard for six hours and made an incredible $420 which will go towards their class gift! They are looking forward to another carwash in Spring 2017!
