Learn to Erg

Do you know anyone who wants to learn to row? Learn to Erg is the perfect program for them! Learn how to use a rowing machine for your workouts in the Learn to Erg Program, which consists of 4 weekly sessions starting on Sunday, November 27 or Monday, November 28th, from 11:00pm to 12:00pm. Winter Training: Thursday Yoga

Yoga is back at the ORC! Members who are signed up for Winter Training are encouraged to join us every Thursday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm for Yoga sessions taught once again, by our favourite Yoga instructor, Laura D’Alessandro! Lessons will take place in the Winter Training Gym.

Help Fundraise to support Winter Training!

Help us fundraise to support our Winter Training Facility with the infrastructure it needs to make it a top notch training facility! With the inaugural Winter Training season just starting, the ORC is allocating all Giving Tuesday donations towards upgrading the winter training facility. Row Ontario Coaches Conference 2022

The 2022 RowOn Coaching Conference is fast approaching!

The event takes place from December 3rd and 4th in Welland Ontario. Registrants will receive access to 7 sessions (Keynote Speech, Lunchtime Session, 5 Lecture Sessions), a provided lunch on Saturday, an option to register for 2 limited participation fireside chats, and an excellent opportunity to receive coach education and professional development knowledge! The deadline to register is Sunday, November 27th!

There is not a lot of time left to register for the Conference, which returns to an in-person format this year for the first time since 2019. Hosted by Row Ontario and AMP Rowing, this year's Conference features a wide variety of sessions led by an esteemed group of presenters from throughout the rowing world.

*For those requiring over night accommodation it is recommended you stay at the Best Western Plus Rose City Suites in Welland. Row Ontario has reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate. Attendees can call (905) 732-0922 to book a discounted room under the ‘Row Ontario Attendees’ block. The block of rooms is on hold until Nov. 21 and will be given out on a first come first served basis.

2023 World Rowing Indoor Championships comes to Canada: Row the North

The 2023 World Rowing Indoor Championships (WRICH), presented by Concept2, scheduled for 25-26 February 2023, will be staged as a hybrid competition.

This approach will give participants the option of taking part in-person, or participating virtually from anywhere in the world. Virtual and in-person competitors will race against one another in real time during the WRICH. The WRICH will take place at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Toronto, Canada.

• No qualifications for in person competitors
• Opportunity for athletes to compete virtually but capped so check out qualifications

Gatineau Cross Country Ski, Snowshoe and Winter Biking Group Rates

All ORC members and family are eligible to apply for the Gatineau exclusive group rate when purchasing a seasonal pass. An email has been sent out on Oct 24th to all ORC members with the group code (the code cannot be publicized). If you did not receive the email and need the code, please contact rowing@ottawarowingclub.com.
