Project Connect In Apache Junction a Success

How people experience homelessness may look different across the Valley, in the outskirts of our cities, people may find refuge in the mountainous or more remote areas, and the population is less dense. However similar challenges for the unhoused and unsheltered persist in every area. Access to public transportation is one of those challenges. Did you know that there is no public transportation in Apache Junction? Regardless, we know that the basic solutions are the same: identification, healthcare, clothing and food, and most of all, shelter and housing.

We spent last Friday serving alongside the community in Apache Junction with 40 volunteers. About 45 guests came through to receive essential services from an amazing group of over 20 providers, coming from the Human Services Campus and beyond.

Look out for our next Project Connect event in January! And, if you know of a venue that would like to host an event, please send us a message at [email protected]. We are always working to take Project Connect to areas that have fewer social services!
