We will be emailing families with a scheduled time slot for each child (Kindergarten through 8th grade). Conferences will be 20 minutes long. Please arrive on time so that you can receive the full benefit of this time set apart for you and your child’s teacher. If you find that you need more time with the teacher, please request an additional meeting for a future date. Thank you for respecting the 20 minute time slot so that teachers can provide the same individual attention to each child’s parents.

If you are interested in volunteering at MCS, we have the following opportunities available for you:

Building and Grounds works to make improvements to the school’s building and the grounds that surround our school. Our next project is installing a window in the computer lab. We have some weather proofing projects and a couple of gutters to fix. Then we will be looking at updating our heating and cooling system. We also need help mowing the lawn with the school lawnmower during the spring, summer, and into fall. If you are interested in joining this team, contact Craig Cox at

Promotion Committee works to promote our school within and outside of our community. If you are interested in joining this team, please contact Angela Flick at Our next project is to get t-shirts and sweatshirts ready for this school year.

TAPP (Teacher and Parent Partnership) help to support the teachers at MCS. They raise funds specifically earmarked for classroom needs to enhance student experiences.  If you are interested, please contact Christy Dunn at

Technology is working hard to update our technology to keep up with the needs of our school and specifically our synchronous learners. Please contact JJ Mejia at or Jeff Timmerman at

W.A.T.C.H. Dog Dads are always welcome. At this time, we are limited to circle time in the morning, recesses and working with Coach for PE. If you are interested, contact and we will get you on the schedule.

Teacher needs vary, some teachers are looking for help with art classes, or recess duties, or special science projects. The possibilities are endless. Maybe you like to plan classroom parties or fieldtrips. Contact your child’s teacher and let them know how you can help.

Getting involved allows you to meet other MCS parents and feel even more a part of our school community. Students love to see their parents helping us throughout the day!
If you have a special gift or talent that you would like to share with our school community and are not sure where to get plugged-in, please send an email to and we will find a place for you!

MATCHING CONTRIBUTIONS: Does the company you work for (Boeing, Microsoft, etc.) match contributions you make to a non-profit company? Take a moment to find out. When you donate money to the school for a fundraiser or any other reason, follow your company's system to record it and designate MCS to receive matching funds! (If someone you know works at a participating company, they can also designate MCS!)

Our scripture theme for this year is based on Hebrews 11:1-3
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible."
