Youth Ministry Update

Leftover Halloween Candy

Wondering what you will do with your “extra” Halloween candy? Youth Ministry is collecting leftover candy to bag and donate to Holiday Express! We cannot use candy that has a Halloween theme or wrapping; or any candy that is not wrapped. Please bring your donations to Church THIS WEEKEND November 4th/5th.

Next Youth Ministry Meeting

November 5th   7-8:30pm

Fr. Scheg Center

All High School Teens Are Welcomed

A BIG thank you to DJ Luccarelli for donating the pumpkins for our YM Meeting last weekend. The carving brought smiles, laughter and a lot of enthusiasm to our teens.

New Altar Servers Inducted

Congratulations to our new altar servers. Candidates recently completed their training and were commissioned by Monsignor Michael Walsh on Sunday, October 29, during the 10:00 a.m. mass.

Please help us welcome and pray for them as they begin their journey of serving the Church of St. Catharine.

Talk With a Priest

  • Struggling with a life event and in need of spiritual assistance?
  • Want to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance outside the normal Confession times?
  • Trying to find your way back to engagement with the Church?
  • Discerning vocation?
  • Looking to complete your Sacraments of Initiation and wish to chat about the journey?

St. Catharine is offering the opportunity for parishioners to chat with a priest who is only indirectly engaged with the parish. If interested, please contact Fr. Mike Walsh by phone 732-780-2666 x205 or email frmike.walsh@stmaryscoltsneck.org

St. Andrew's Men's Group

The St Andrews men’s group will be meeting on THIS WEEKEND Saturday, November 4th beginning at 7:15 in the Chapel with a Communion service, followed by a lite breakfast and presentation in Room 62/63. All men of the Parish seeking a deeper relationship with Christ are welcome and encouraged to attend.

SVdP Food Donations

The SVdP Food Pantry Donations are being collected on, THIS WEEKEND November 4th and 5th.  Our pantry levels are very low. Your help is needed to replenish our inventory to maintain current distribution levels.

Please place your nonperishable food and household items in the collection bins when you come for Mass. The bolded items are most needed at this time: Mac & Cheese, Cereal, Chef Boyardee, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Soup, Canned Vegetables, Toilet Paper, Coffee, Tuna, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Paper Towels

Farewell to Joanne Chiusano

We say farewell to Joanne Chiusano, the Religious Education Assistant. Joanne has faithfully served St. Catharine for the past 6 years.

She will be greatly missed, and we appreciate her hard work and commitment to the Religious Education Program and families. We wish her well and ask God to continue to bless Joanne in her future endeavors.

"How Great is Our God" Eucharistic Revival Event

Holy Hour - St. Mary Mother of God

On December 12, 1531 Our Lady appeared to an Aztec man, St. Juan Diego, and requested that a shrine be built on Tepeyac hill. She gave him the miraculous image of her, seen above. Through her image nine

million Aztecs were converted to Christ and abandoned the practice of human sacrifice.

Today Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the pro life movement, as we work to end the practice of human sacrifice through abortion and uphold the dignity of every human life. Our strongest weapon in this battle is prayer. Please join us the second Tuesday of each month as we observe a Holy Hour for life.

Seminar for Divorced and Separated - St. Leo's

St. Leo the Great Parish is pleased to announce that it is offering a Holiday Seminar that will be offered for anyone that is divorced and/or separated.

We are having a “Surviving the Holidays” Seminar on Thursday, November 16, 2023 and Thursday, December 14th, 2023 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at St. Leo The Great located at 50 Hurleys Lane in Lincroft. Please feel free to attend one or both seminars.

Please know that these Seminars have been offered since 2014 and they have helped many people. We are laypeople that have been through divorce, and we had found this program helpful to us. We would like to bring

it to you and help you! If interested or if you need any more information to decide if you want to attend, please email Michele Coppola Wilson at healfromdivorcetoday@gmail.com.

We would be happy to answer any of your questions.
