Article on Threat Assessment Team Negligence

A recent article by Reid Meloy and Molly Amman discusses threat assessment team negligence and steps it avoid it. The article, "Threat Assessment Team Negligence: The Taft Union Case", discusses a school shooting incident that resulted in a civil suit where the school threat assessment team was found 54% negligent. The case also resulted in California law addressing how threat assessment cases should be managed.

Campus Threat Assessment and Management Class December 6-7 in Decatur

The Illinois School and Campus Safety Program is pleased to announce the class Campus Threat Assessment and Management will be held December 6-7, 2022, in Decatur, IL. This two-day workshop for institutions of higher education and law enforcement stakeholders, which features Gene Deisinger, Ph.D, will help participants to better understand the dynamics of targeted violence and to develop and enhance strategies for early identification, assessment, and intervention with concerning situations.
