Club Corner
The Cunningham 4-H club met on September 21, 2025. The roll call was “what is your favorite fair food” and was answered by 22 members. Our club got reserve Grand Champion for our cookie jars that go to college scholarships at the county fair this year. In the October meeting our club will swear in the new officers that were elected last meeting. This year will be doing a fundraiser for the Texas Road House rolls, so if you want rolls or want to support our club, contact a 4-H member to get them. In October for the new 4-H year, our club leader Marci Adams will be stepping down out of the position. I asked her for a quote about the 3 years she has been a leader and she said “I have 2 big highlights as one of the 4-H leaders for 3 years. One is watching the older kids mentor the younger ones with their projects. The other is seeing self-confidence explode as the youngsters grow from shy too eager through their 4-H experiences.” The entire 4-H club would like to thank Marci for her time and the effort she has put into our club. We presented her with a plaque to show her our appreciation. Our new leaders for our club are Katie Hellman and Jennifer Neywick. October will be a busy month because this week is 4-H week and we have our 48 hours of service, also 4-H Sunday and the Achievement Celebration hosted by our club. Finally, the meeting was adjourned by Ethan and seconded by Ty.

Hawk 4-H’s October Activities
The Hawk 4-H club held 4-H Sunday on October 5th at the Christian Church to celebrate 4-H week. Members also met later in the week to decorate sidewalks at Kingman Elementary School to promote 4-H.
The club set up their annual window display at Kingman Real Estate on October 9th. The display highlights members’ activities throughout the year.
On October 11th members met at Riverside Park to paint the wooden posts around the playground and along the road to give them a bright new look.
The October meeting was held on the 13th at Livingston’s Family Center at 7pm. The club voted to make a donation to the Kingman Historical Society and present it to the museum along with a thank you note for inviting the club to sell walking tacos during the car show.

Norwich Boosters 4-H Teams Up with Community Christian Women

The Norwich Boosters 4-H Club met on October 20, 2025 at the Norwich Christian Church for a fun joint meeting with the Community Christian Women of Norwich. There was a great turnout with more than forty people attending!
Members shared highlights from recent events like helping at the Color Run and passing out candy, pencils, and flyers during 4-H Week. Plans were made for Trunk or Treat on Halloween and the upcoming Achievement Banquet. The club also talked about helping with the remodel of a new meeting space above City Hall that will be shared with the local firefighters.
Reese Allen gave a presentation about the county dog club project and what she’s learned through it. The Community Christian Women ended the night by surprising the group with a donation and snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Whispering Willow 4-Hers Hold October Meeting
The Whispering Willow 4-H Club members are hard at work on our annual Haunted Forest event. Members met at the Belt’s farm to work on the scary scenes before our October meeting. During the meeting, our leaders told us about when the 4-H Window would be put together at Floyd Real Estate. Thank you to Mike and Susan for letting us use your window for our display again this year! The Achievement Celebration will be held in Cunningham this year on October 26. And the 2026 Kingman County Fair dates have been announced. Mark your calendar for July 22-25, 2026!
Whispering Willow Clean Up Main Street
For our 48 Hours of 4-H Service Project, the Whispering Willow 4-H Club wanted to do our part and help clean Kingman Main Street. Members joined together on Sunday morning with brooms, leaf blowers, and trash bags in hand to complete this project. We swept business doorways and sidewalks to spruce up the town. Members of all ages were able to take part. All of the members of our club think Kingman is a very special place, and we all thought it was nice to do our part to help clean up.
