OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
FROM THE DESK OF MRS. TIEZZI

Dear SRS Parents,

Please join us this evening at 6:00 A.M. to meet our new school social worker, Mrs. Danielle Beerli. Danielle will speak on the topic of Anxiety and offer strategies as to how to assist your child in dealing with those times and circumstances that bring on anxiety in their lives. Danielle has spent the past few days visiting classrooms and meeting our teachers and students. Tonight is your opportunity to meet her. Hope to see you there.

The value for the month of November is community.  Community is showing love for others by truly helping them out not by merely talking about it. It takes patience to build community by working at getting along with others and to make peace with others instead of constantly getting into conflict. It takes control to patiently bear with others rather than quickly condemning them; we demonstrate community by not automatically looking out for you but kindly looking out for other people. How can we model for our children the value of community in our thoughts and actions? Some simple ways are prayer, study, meditate and fast to draw closer to God, the source of our community.

This Friday, November 8, school will be closed for a Teacher Retreat Day. Teachers will gather at Caritas Christi Center for a day of prayer and reflection.  Please keep them in your prayers and we will do the same for our St. Rita School community.

On Monday, November 11, school will be closed for Veteran’s Day as we honor those who have so bravely served this country .  Our country is founded on the principles of freedom, justice, and liberty for all. Our nation's soldiers serve every day to protect our country and its ideals. As a way of honoring our veterans, please have your child take some time on Veteran's Day, to remember and thank those who sacrifice their lives to achieve peace and democracy in our country. Have you child make a phone call or pay a visit to someone they know (grandpa, grandma, aunt, uncle, neighbor, or friends) who is currently serving or has served in the armed forces. All they need to do is say thank you.

Thank you for entrusting your children to our care. Have an enjoyable week.

God Bless,

Mrs. Tiezzi

Does Your Company Offer Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are corporate giving programs created to encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work.
Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.

Please take a moment and ask if your employer participates in a Volunteer Grants Program. Your time and talent at St. Rita School could turn into dollars for our school! Questions? Feel free to contact Joanne Bruno at  [email protected] .
The Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school

Over the summer, participating brands began to change their packaging from the traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Tops label. Going forward, instead of clipping from packages and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally by scanning your receipt. The Box Tops for Education team has worked hard to build a NEW-and-improved, user-friendly Box Tops mobile app , available now. The new app features state-of-the-art technology that allows you to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to our school's earnings online.

If you still have traditional Box Tops clips at home, make sure to send them to school. We will still earn cash for all clipped Box Tops until they expire. Better yet, you can “double dip” during the packaging transition by clipping traditional Box Tops AND scanning your store receipt containing participating products.

Visit amazonsmile.com , and anytime you purchase an eligible item, Amazon will donate a portion of the profit to our school! Select “Divine Mercy Parish
