Thank You for Your Sunday Offering Commitment!
Dear Parishioners,
Thank you to all parishioners who have returned their stewardship commitment cards for Sunday offering. It is because of your generosity and commitment to our parish that we can continue to thrive. Your gift will enable us to continue our current programs, assist with unfunded requirements, and plan for the future needs of our parish. THANK YOU!!!
If you haven’t responded, IT’S NOT TOO LATE! We need YOUR help! Please take an active role by making your pledge and returning the commitment card attached HERE to the parish by mailing it in, dropping it in the offertory basket, or dropping it off at the parish office. We really appreciate your consideration and support.
Many Blessings,
Fr. Saju

St. Martin of Tours
Annual Cloak Drive
November 5/6 & November 12/13
The St. Martin of Tours community is collecting new and clean gently worn coats for our farmworker families and our neighbors in need. Please reach out to your friends and family and help collect as many new and gently worn coats as possible. Coats can be donated before each Mass on November 5/6 and November 12/13. We ask that you bring coats ONLY, and if they are gently worn, please make sure the coats are clean and wearable. If you purchased a new coat or had your gently worn coat dry cleaned, please donate it covered and on the hanger so we can keep them protected until they are distributed. This year there is a high need for Ladies' coats sizes S, M, and L as well as children's coats in all sizes. After we have collected all the coat, they will be blessed and then taken for distribution. If you have any questions, please contact Therese Lehane at [email protected].

Celebration of the Rite of Acceptance and Welcoming
November 6th at the 10:00AM Mass
On Sunday, November 6 at the 10:00 A.M. Mass, we will celebrate the Rite of Acceptance and Welcoming. The Rite of Acceptance is an ancient Rite that recognizes the Catechumens’ decision to begin the process of becoming a member of the Catholic Church through Baptism and welcomes the Candidates, those who have been baptized in another faith or baptized Catholic as a child but received little or has never been catechized in the Catholic faith, into the process of full communion with the Church.
In the months to come, the four Catechumens and six Candidates will be preparing for full initiation into the Catholic faith. As a parish community, please support the Catechumens and Candidates on their journey.
“For all of these, we give thanks and praise to God who has led them by various paths to oneness in faith.” excerpted from the Rite of Acceptance

Family Reflection
November 6, 2022 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
2 Maccabees 7:1-2, 9-14 • 2 Thessalonians 2:16-3:5 • Luke 20:27-38
“It is my choice to die at the hands of men, with the hope God gives of being raised up by him…” -2 Maccabees 7:14
We recently celebrated All Saints Day. Some saints lived very ordinary lives, and some of them even gave up their lives because of their belief in God. Because of the love they had for God, the saints knew that in giving up their lives, they were choosing everlasting life. This helped them not to be afraid to share their faith. We may never be called to die for our faith like the brothers in the first reading or the saints of old, but we may be called to do hard things for our faith. For example, if you are ever with a group of friends who say they didn’t believe in God, you will have an opportunity to speak up and share why you believe. You don’t have to make them change their minds, but you are called to be faithful to your own experience and sometimes that might mean putting your fears aside and sharing your beliefs.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, it is not always easy to share my faith in you with others. Please give me the courage to show others that I know I am a child of yours whenever I can.
FAMILY REFLECTION: If you met someone today whom you didn’t know very well, how would that person be able to tell that you are a child of God?

Please Participate in the Synod Survey
Consultation of the Faithful
Bishop Oscar Cantú would like to hear from all Catholics in Santa Clara County, including those no longer practicing their faith. The purpose of the Synod survey is to gain a greater understanding of the pastoral needs of the Catholic community in Santa Clara County and discern pastoral priorities for our diocese for the coming years. It will take 10-15 minutes to complete the survey, and responses will be anonymous. The input will be integrated into the information to be considered by the Diocesan Synod General Assembly, when recommending priorities for our diocese’s new Pastoral Plan on how our diocese will serve God’s People in the coming years. For a video from Bishop Oscar Cantú and the Synod Survey click HERE or use the QR Code.
