We are the people of the United Methodist Church.

Notes from the Road is one of the ways that we at Journey stay connected. Connections and community are keys to a vital church ... and are part of what keeps us bound together in the service of Christ.

So, welcome to you as we journey together on the road where we as a s pirit-filled, forward-leaning community of believers seek to become the hands and feet of Jesus.
Bits and Bytes
Terry Kim

Given that our church is currently collecting stewardship cards and commitments for next year, I'd like to take this opportunity to write on the importance of stewardship.

Simply stated, stewardship is the ethical management of God-given resources for God's people and kingdom.  Admittedly, this definition doesn't cover the entirety of Christian stewardship, but it gives us enough to focus on as we look towards 2017.

As a small, local church, we need everyone's help and support to continue doing what we believe God has called us to accomplish here in Maricopa.

Truthfully, our church is in dire need of committed volunteers and generous tithing. We need the time, talents, and tithes of our church family members. As believers we want to please God, and good stewardship starts with the recognition that everything we own ultimately belongs to God. They're all "God-given", and we should all aim to generously use what God has given to us for His church and kingdom.

Stewardship is a spiritual issue and I humbly ask everyone to search their hearts and see how God is calling each of us to be generous, faithful stewards for His kingdom.

God bless!
