Tiny Tech Tip!
Did you know you can help your child regulate themselves online by teaching them those daily good habits? Use your own tech habits to show your child how to interact healthily with the internet.
Time limit tips:
1) Remind them how much time they have left to use the internet or play that game they love. "OK, you have ten minutes before it needs to be shut off!"
2) Give them another reminder halfway through that time "Remember, I said you had ten minutes? You've got five left. It needs to be turned off when time is up"
3) Give them gentle countdowns "Hey, you have 1 minute. When it's time, can you show me how you turn it off/save your game?" This is especially helpful if you aren't familiar with the game or console/device.
4) When it's time, stick to it. "I said it was time to turn it off and now it's time. Can you show me how you do that?" And if your child struggles here to turn off the device, or they argue with you about wanting more time "I see you're having trouble and I hate that for you. I think it would be a good time for you to have some time away from this game/device/app. I know you really like it, but I love you too much to let you feel so angry so I'm going to give you time to cool off without this." And take the device away.
The more you guide your child in their use of digital devices, the better off they will be!

After School Care News:
ATTENTION Preschool Parents:
Because we are continually evaluating and improving our students' safety, we will be changing the Aftercare pickup procedure starting in January. You will pick up your child from the After School Care desk where the aide will call for them on the walkie talkie and someone will bring them upstairs to you. You will no longer be able to pick them up from the playground or their room. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Principal Gayle Trachsel (gtrachsel@stpeterjc.org) or ASC Director Betsy Bartow (bbartow@stpeterjc.org) whom you may also reach at the phone number below.
For Pre-k through 8th grade: if you need to reach After School Care after 3 PM, please call the ASC desk at (573) 636-8922 ext.129

Hello! I’m Katie Diemler, originally from Stillwater, Minnesota. I graduated from St. Agnes High School in St. Paul and later moved to Jefferson City to attend the University of Missouri, where I earned degrees in Elementary Education and Korean Studies.
Before joining St. Peter, I taught English in Busan, South Korea, where I worked with 3rd to 6th graders. This is my first year at St. Peter, and I’m thrilled to be a 6th grade homeroom teacher, instructing both 6th and 8th grade English as well as 8th grade Pre-Algebra. I’m grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received from the St. Peter community—it’s been wonderful getting to know everyone!
Music is my passion! During my school years, I was actively involved in Concert Chorale and Madrigals, performing throughout St. Paul. In my free time, I enjoy studying music and learning new songs on the piano. I also enjoy studying languages, spending time with friends, and traveling.
I’m eager to connect with more of the St. Peter community and share in the many experiences this year will bring. Here’s to building a wonderful school year together, filled with learning, laughter, and new friendships!

A Stewardship Booklet and Time & Talent form went home on Friday with the youngest student of each St. Peter parish family in preparation for our annual Catholic Stewardship Renewal. Please begin to prayerfully consider how you may be able to serve our parish in the four pillars of Stewardship; hospitality, prayer, formation, and service. Commitment Weekend is scheduled for November 9-10th. Members of the Stewardship Council will be available at Coffee & Donuts on November 10th to help those who need assistance completing their forms. Online completion will also be available. If you have any questions, please email stewardship@stpeterjc.org. | |

Pictures Please: For the past few years we have displayed pictures of our school families' military members, active and retired. If you have sent in pictures in previous years, those will continue to be displayed. If you are new to St. Peter or have a family member that you haven't sent in a picture for yet, please do so by Nov. 7th. Please send a note with the picture stating the service member's name and rank as well as which student here at school they are related to.
Also, if you have a service member, retired or active, who will be attending the Assembly, please contact Sara Garner with their name and relationship to our student.
Thank you so much! Please contact Sara Garner at sgarner@stpeterjc.org if you have questions.

TO BE AN “ACTIVE” CATHOLIC STEWARD MEANS:
- To Pray: that is, attend Mass faithfully in the parish on weekends and Holy Days.
- To Participate: that is, to use one’s time and talents to strengthen the parish community and advance the Gospel.
- To Sacrificially Give: that is, pledge and remain current on a tithe of financial first fruits to support the life and ministries of the parish. The goal is 8% to the parish and 2% to other worthy charities.
