In 2020, there were 4,057 firearm-related charges issued, 561 of which were still pending at the time we received the statistics. Of the 3,496 that had received some sort of judgement, 2,849 charges were nol-prossed.

Simply put, 81% of firearm charges in 2020 were dismissed.

Senate Republicans will work to strengthen Delaware’s criminal justice system when the 152nd General Assembly convenes in January.

As an elected official, I have always tried to do what is best for the constituents in the 20th Senate District. Regardless of party, and sometimes regardless of my own personal convictions, the needs of those I represent are always at the forefront of my mind when deciding on whether to support a particular policy or not.

Some things do not have to be partisan. There are certain measures that transcend the divisive rhetoric that has plagued politics in the 21st Century, and we as members of the General Assembly, must consider this when voting on these proposals.

Registration Began October 31, 2022 for DMV’s Low-Digit Tag Lottery
The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is excited to announce that its annual low-digit tag release begins on Monday, November 14, 2022. The release this year will be held as a lottery for those interested in obtaining one of the available plates.

DNREC to Pilot Changes to Delaware Surf Fishing Permit Program for 2023

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control announced today changes are to be piloted for the 2023 surf fishing permit program after record interest in the program in 2022. One of the biggest changes will be the elimination of a cap in effect since 2019 on the number of permits sold annually.

2022 Delaware Relief Rebate Program

Over 780,000 eligible Delawareans have received the $300 rebate check authorized via House Bill 360. If you are 18 years or older, have been living in Delaware since on or before December 31, 2021, and have not yet received the rebate, you may apply online.
