St Paul Lutheran Church, Ridgefield, is located on the original and ancestral homelands of the Mohican, Munsee, Lenape, and Schaghticoke peoples, and we give thanks for their presence here since time immemorial. We also wish to recognize and honor all our Indigenous siblings who have and continue to call this land their home.

..from the Pastor...
I am writing this little message on Election Day. I am writing before the ballots have been counted, before the hateful and often untruth political ads have stopped, before we have a chance to be joyful, angry, disappointed, or even noncommittal about the results.
Most of us did our civic duty. We showed up and we voted. We declared by voting that we believe in this democracy, and that our vote counts.
I hope this election cycle reminds us that we are tasked with being informed on the issues that are important to us. We are tasked with holding our elected officials accountable.
As Christians, we care for our neighbors, the marginalized, and the strangers among us, knowing that all of us are made in the image of God, and all of us are worth of lives of dignity.
I ask you to pray with me, for all the newly elected. We pray that they hold themselves to standards of fairness, decency, and do the real work of making our communities and our country safe for all of us.

THANK YOU to all who donated!
To date, we have raised $805 towards the purchase of feminine projects.
An order has been placed with a company called Aunt Flow for us to assemble 100 kits!
Your contributions give us a chance to defray some of the costs of a monthly financial burden that aren't covered by SNAP benefits.
God bless, and thank you!

A Reminder that our Get It Done in 101 Campaign will continue through the end of the year. This is a continuation of the campaign formerly known as Drive to ’25 with a goal to raise $25,000 pantry and kitchen improvements. New Get it Done in 101 envelopes are in the narthex. It is also a new fund offered in Tithe.ly, if you prefer to pay online. Give to St Paul Church

This is for all our little ones (and bigger kids, too!) We gather at 9am for a casual, self serve breakfast of cereal, fruit snacks (coffee for adults)
Children of all ages (3years and up) and their caregivers are welcome. Stick around for a song or two, some coloring, and a chance for parents to chat as our children 'catch' the faith.
Invite a friend!
--please RSVP by Friday if you're planning on attending so we have enough goodies!--

The Pray Ground is a space at the front of the Sanctuary for children and their parents to play during worship. You and your children are welcome here!
Come and see!

Greg, who is a member of our Social Ministry/Love in Action Committee, has placed a box in the narthex (inside the front door of the church) for items to be placed for distribution at our pantry. This is in addition to the scheduled hours for collection noted in the flyer below this one. This is an opportunity to bring supplies when you come for Sunday worship.
Can't get to a grocery store? Don't want to carry heavy cans?
You can also have a delivery sent to the church via Amazon, Instacart, and DoorDash.
Thank you!

November 16 we will gratefully accept a very generous gift of 126 boxes of fresh produce from the Bergen County Office of Food security. We will need volunteers to help off load the truck at 1pm at the church. Thank you in advance for your willingness to help.
Join us November 18, at 11am for a Thanksgiving dinner!
All are welcome!

The children have been joining the music with the tambourines and shakers! Not only that, they are good listeners!!! It was fun to hear them play with us singing.
The parents and the adults are also always welcome to join in.
However, there are some hymns that have quiet and meditative elements. At these times, parents, please keep the instruments away from the children’s hands (do not just shush them, as children will want to make sounds as long as they are touching an instrument).
There are indications above each hymn that can be played with the instruments.
During the prelude and postlude, please keep the instruments from the children’s hands.
