Preparation, Justice, & True Worship
Being Ready for Jesus

In today's first reading, the prophet Amos looks to the coming of the Lord with calls to root out injustice. Paul urges Christians to encourage one another with the promise of the resurrection of the dead. Jesus tells the parable of the wise and foolish bridesmaids and urges his disciples to be ready. Even as our lives continue to be constrained by the coronavirus, we can prepare for Christ by encouraging one another and working for justice. This, as Amos reminds us, is the true worship that is pleasing in God's sight.
