Dear Parents,

The Gospel value of the Month of November is "Service." During this month we recognize that as Disciples of Christ we are called to serve others. Service is defined as the action of helping or doing work for someone. We are called to serve faithfully through simplicity, humility, and in virtue in our daily work and interactions with others.  In the Gospel of Mathew, Jesus said " Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." So as we serve our brothers and sisters, let us remember that we are also serving our Lord.

Quote from Pope Francis:

"Jesus taught us: those who command must become like those who serve. Or, those who wish to be first must become servants...."

Faithfully Yours,

Miss Giaquinto

Report Cards

Report Cards for Grades 1-8
go home today.

Please sign and return the envelope to your child's teacher and keep the report card.

On Tuesday, November 13th there will be an early dismissal from school for parent-teacher conferences from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Please call the office if you would like to meet with your child's teacher.

I have noticed an increase in the number of students who are late for school. If a student comes to school once the prayer bell has rung at 7:45 am they are considered tardy.

The procedure is to stop at the nurse for a tardy slip before going to class.

The tardy count is recorded and becomes part of the record card for your child.

Please note the first period class bell is directly after prayer at 7:50 am.

Nurse News From Mrs. Hogan
Autumn is a beautiful time of year but as the weather gets cooler outside, head colds, sore throats, fevers and viruses enter homes and school settings.
Please help keep our school community healthy and prevent the spread of illness. If your child is sick, please keep them at home.

Remember to send your child to school with a warm jacket and other accessories.  These items are needed in order to go outside for recess and for outdoor classes on gym days.

Keeping the children warm and healthy is our goal!
