Project Connect Helps over 70 People on November 7th

Thirty volunteers from Rocket Mortgage, JustServe and The Social Television Network (STN) provided assistance in serving over 70 individuals experiencing homelessness at Project Connect in Phoenix on November 7th. And 23 partner organizations collaborated to provide a range of holistic services, from meals and haircuts, to identification and medical services, to connections to housing.

On behalf of HSC and collaborating partners, we extend a special thanks Camelback Seventh Day Adventist Church for hosting the event and to Valley of the Sun United Way for their ongoing support. This was a new host site in a new neighborhood for Project Connect, with many of us unsure how many guests we would see at this Arcadia location. The results of the day are a good reminder that regardless of zip code and irrespective of what we think homelessness looks like, there are neighbors and families across the Valley who have unstable housing or lack housing.
