HELPING HANDS MINISTRY of St. Matthew Lutheran Church & School is intended to provide critical emergency financial support. Please contact one of the Pastors if such support is needed. Contributions to this ministry are also welcome. 
The semiannual meeting of the Voters’ Assembly will take place Sunday, November 17, 2019 immediately following the 10:45 Service in Luther Hall. This meeting is to elect the leaders of the congregation: the Officers and members of the various Boards.
There is room for individuals to serve the Lord in this capacity. Please pray to the Lord and consider in what ways He might be leading you in the decision making of St. Matthew Congregation.

We are looking for families that are in need for the holidays. If you have a family member, co-worker or a friend that you think needs assistance for the holiday’s please see Cheri Selimos or Linda   Wollberg in the Church Office for more information. The names of the families will be confidential.

purchases, helped in a booth, donated items for sale, served
coffee, shopped or helped at the end packing up - thank you. 
What a joy to see so many willing workers accept the call to help make this event happen. We could not have done it

SUNDAY MORNING ADULT BIBLE STUDY - Classes are held on Sundays at 9:20am in the north end of Krueger Hall. We'll explore the Prophecy of Haggai!
ADULT DISCIPLESHIP CLASS  - continues this week as we study " Full-Time Christianity." A new class of God For Us will begin Sunday, November 24, 9:20 a.m. in the Upper Classroom.

YOUTH BIBLE STUDY (Jr. & Sr. High) - will meet on the
1st, 2nd and 3rd Sunday’s of the month from 9:20-10:20am in the Youth Room. November class dates are: Nov. 17.

LCC - Who is Jesus According to Jesus - A Study of the Gospels  Classes are held at 9:30am at St. Matthew and 7:00pm. at Prince of Peace in Palatine.    

SADDLEBROOK BIBLE STUDY  - is offered on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month at 10:00 at Saddlebrook in Grayslake. 

The Saturday Morning Men's Bible Study will tackle six sessions of studying the five points of the Gospel as taught at St. Matthew. Each week will include heart work passages from Scripture that are easily memorized to make it easier to share the Gospel with others.

2020 EUROPEAN TRIP & OBERAMMERGAU is an 11 Day Classic Classic European Tour (September 20-30, 2020) which will include Budapest, Bratislava, Prague, Nurnberg, Rothenburg, Heidleberg, a Rhine River Cruise, the Neuschwanstein Castle and culminating in Oberammergau for the 2020 production of the Passion Play.
Taking Faith Home is available each week on the church office counter.

In My Father’s Footsteps is a weekly devotion written by Pastor Blonski and is available at The True Man blog .
This week our Emerging Skills and Interests were: Transportation - Exploring Types & When They Are Used. The Number of the Week was 8. The Letter of the Week was "K", and was our theme for Show & Share. In Religious Studies, the preschoolers learned about David and Jonathan.
