Tier 2 COVID-19 Restrictions Effective November 11 for DuPage & Kane Counties
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Governor Pritzker announced even tighter COVID-19 restrictions for IDPH Region 8, which includes DuPage and Kane Counties, starting November 11. The Tier 2 restrictions are driven by increases in COVID-19 case and hospitalization rates even after two weeks of Tier 1 mitigations were in place.
The additional Tier 2 mitigations include limiting gatherings to 10 people in both indoor and outdoor settings as well as in organized group recreational activities. They also reduce table sizes for restaurants and bars to a maximum of six people, which are still limited to outdoor dining and service only.
All Tier 1 mitigation restrictions that have been in effect since October 28 still apply.
Village of Roselle Operations Shifting to Remote Workforce as COVID-19 Pandemic Resurges; Village Hall Closing to the Public November 10
The health, safety and well-being of the community and its employees remains the top priority of the Village of Roselle. With increased COVID-19 positivity rates and a resurgence of cases in our community, the Village of Roselle will close Village Hall to the public starting at the end of the business day on November 10, 2020, until further notice.
Village employees are continuing to work on-site and remotely to ensure that essential services like public safety, fire protection, emergency medical response, and water and wastewater service continue to be offered in Roselle. Similar to operational changes that were made back in March when the pandemic first hit our community, the Village is implementing the following procedures and operations until further notice:
Garbage and recycling pickup is an essential service and will continue as scheduled.
The Finance Department is providing financial services like processing payments and issuing invoices. Residents can conduct business with the Village online,by email, through the drop box in the circle drive in front of Village Hall, and by phone at (630) 980-2000. Virtual appointments can also be arranged, if requested.
Inspectional services and plan reviews done through the Community Development Department will continue. Call (630) 671-2821 or email [email protected] with questions about the status of permits.
With a reduced number of staff members in our buildings, not every phone call can be answered immediately. If you call, please be prepared to leave a voicemail message if necessary. Calls will be returned promptly.
All restaurants, bars and attractions are currently required to close inside dining options as part of State ordered Tier 1 COVID-19 mitigations. The Village has a Local Restaurant Offerings page on its website with details about Roselle restaurants, bars, and attractions offering delivery, curbside pickup, gift card purchases and carry-out food options.
The Village Board continues to meet the second and fourth Monday of each month online via Zoom. Information about these meetings, including how to make public comments or join the online meetings, is available in the meeting agendas which are posted on the Village’s website the Friday before each meeting.
As it has been since the beginning of the pandemic, the Village’s response to this public health crisis is dynamic and subject to change. Village staff will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions as more information becomes available. Visit the COVID-19 Information page on the Village’s website for additional updates.
