Dear Carondelet Community,
Fall is here! This is a busy and exciting time on campus marked by several community events and milestones: college application deadlines, fall sports playoffs and winter sports tryouts, and the fall Company production of The Crucible; as well as upcoming academic milestones and the end of the first semester. During this active season, it’s important that our students stick to their school routines, prioritize promptness and daily attendance, and communicate proactively with their teachers as assignments and assessments come due.
We’re also excited to share that construction on the new Boscacci Performance Center is wrapping up! As we move into the final stages of this transformative project, families can expect to see increased activity and more vehicles in our parking lot. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during this time and can’t wait to welcome our community into this new space soon.
At the same time, we continue to focus on supporting our students’ overall well-being academically, socially, and emotionally. Here at Carondelet, we recognize the importance of meaningful engagement with classroom learning, co-curricular programs, and in-person interactions with teachers and peers. To help foster focus and connection, students are required to turn in their cell phones at the start of each class period. This practice ensures that students remain attentive and fully present in their learning environment. Additionally, we maintain cell phone-free expectations during all-school events, liturgies, and retreats, allowing space for reflection, connection, and growth.
As technology continues to evolve, staying informed about social media trends and digital habits can feel challenging. Common Sense Media offers excellent resources for parents, including guides to popular apps like Snapchat and TikTok, advice on privacy settings, and tips for balancing screen time and sleep. We also encourage families to have open conversations with their daughters about their digital habits, what content they’re consuming, how it makes them feel, and what healthy boundaries they’d like to establish together. These ongoing discussions are powerful ways to help students build self-awareness and balance in their digital lives.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support!
Caitlin Main ’05

Attendance Updates
As we enter into the holiday season and the last weeks of the semester, we want to remind students and families of the importance of regular school attendance and proactive communication with our Attendance Office. Attendance is required during Finals Week and critical for closing out the semester. If your student will miss finals, for any reason, please reach out to Nicole Ebert in Attendance as soon as possible.
Winter Outerwear & Uniform Reminders
With the cooler months upon us, students may now wear plain, solid-colored outerwear jackets or raincoats over their Carondelet or DLS sweatshirts for warmth and protection from the weather. Please remember that students are not permitted to wear flannels, fuzzy sweatshirts, and non-uniform sweatshirts.
During colder weather, black leggings or tights are always allowed—and encouraged—under uniform skirts. However, sweatpants, pajama pants, and non-approved athletic team warm-ups are not part of the school uniform and should not be worn.
