ECA STRATEGIC PLAN SURVEY 7
Closes on November 13 at 10:00 am

Strategic plan Survey 7 was sent to your email on November 6.

Beauty is God’s design. He made His world beautiful and commissioned us to create beauty within it.

It is our aim to provide exceptional fine arts experiences that engage our students’ hearts and minds to desire, to think, and to act like Jesus. Your responses to the questions in Survey 7 will help us to determine what follow-up discussions, research, and focus groups need to be facilitated in order to discern what strategic goals will help us to better achieve that mission within the arts.

You can access this week's survey in the link below. Survey 7 closes on November 13 at 10:00 am.

We value the time you invest in providing your feedback. To show our appreciation, each week one respondent will be awarded a CHICK-FIL-A FAMILY MEAL. Congratulations to our Survey 5 recipient, Julie Yanchek!

ECA FUNDRAISING OUTCOMES
We are truly grateful for the amazing support shown by everyone who contributed to the success and outcome of the 2020 WARRIOR CLASSIC GOLF OUTING!

We extend sincere appreciation to our three major event sponsors Ampco Pittsburgh, Hefren-Tillotson, and Fort Pitt Capital Group, our Warrior sponsor Mars Bank, and lunch/dinner sponsors, Alera Group, KLH Engineers, CDS Administrators, Inc., and Marianne Hall for their continued and generous support of Eden Christian Academy.
Here's a look at the 2020 Warrior Classic numbers

Golf Participants - 88
Tournament Sponsors - 8

NET FUNDS RAISED - $26,496!
We are happy to announce that the dollars raised are already making improvements for our ECA athletes.

The money from the golf outing was allocated for the baseball bleacher installation project at the Mt. Nebo Campus. The work included a new gate in the fence for entry to the bleachers, drainage, the concrete bleacher pad and sidewalk, bleachers, and landscaping of the area around the bleachers.

Here’s an exciting update! The funds were immediately put to work and all the preliminary work for the project has been completed (gate installation, drainage, concrete bleacher pad, and sidewalk). We expect to schedule the installation of the bleachers before the end of this year and landscaping will be completed in spring 2021 – just in time for the next baseball season!
MESSAGE FROM MRS. BOTULA

Dear Parents,

We often hear the question, “What would Jesus do?”

I think a more interesting question is, “What is Jesus doing?”

After his death, God raised Jesus from the dead and He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. And we learn in Ephesians that “God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything…”

Jesus is Lord of all.

As Abraham Kuyper famously said, “There is not one square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is sovereign over all, does not cry: 'Mine!'"

In Colossians we read that God was “pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”

So Jesus is reconciling everything to Himself. Things on earth or things in heaven. So yes, Christ is forgiving our sin, and he is also restoring all of the created order. Whether it is the last, the lost, and the least of our communities, or a star in the Andromeda galaxy M32.

Everything is being put to rights.

And while we know that things now are not the way they are supposed to be, Jesus is making things the way they ought to be. Jesus is undoing the fall.

As if that is not enough, here is the bombshell.

In 2 Corinthians we see, “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

Yes, you read that right. This task of reconciliation, or making things the way they are supposed to be, Christ has given to us.

So everything that we do in our family lives and our life at school is participating in Christ’s work of making things the way they are supposed to be.

And we work to equip the children so one day they decide to follow Christ and participate in His work to right what is wrong and bring us closer to the ways things ought to be.

It is a privilege and an honor for me, the teachers, and the staff, to play a small role in what God is doing in the lives of your children.

Thank you for your engagement in our life together.

In Christ,
Mrs. MJ Botula
Interim Principal Berkeley Hills
ANNOUNCEMENTS
ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FEAST & MEAL DONATION
Grades Kindergarten - 12
Student Meal November 20
Order Deadline November 17

Our annual Thanksgiving luncheon is specially prepared for us by Medure's Catering and has become an Eden favorite.

This delicious lunch will be served on November 20 at each campus and includes turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, buttered green beans, stuffing, a dinner roll, one carton of milk, and dessert. The cost is $7.00 per meal.

Again this year, you also have the opportunity to purchase a meal that will be donated to the Light of Life Rescue Mission. And, your blessing to those in need will be multiplied -- every donated meal will be generously matched by Medure's catering. So, when you donate one meal, it becomes two! If Eden families donate 500 meals, Medure's will make it 1,000. Last year, the Eden Family and Medure's donated over 3,400 meals to help the homeless in the city of Pittsburgh.
