Alex Kolodin

Alexander Kolodin is a civil and constitutional attorney who has won a variety of high-profile victories for conservatives in the courtroom. In his first term, he brought his legal expertise to the state house, sponsoring successful legislation to improve the security of Arizona's election system, protect civil liberties, and safeguard Arizona's water supply. He lives in Scottsdale with his wife (a teacher at Basis Scottsdale) and their two children.

Mark Spencer

Since February 2012, Mark Spencer has been the Southwest Projects Coordinator for Judicial Watch, Inc.  He has lived in Phoenix Arizona since 1975, graduated with honors with a finance degree from Northern Arizona University in 1985, met his wife Shannon in 1986 on a Summer Project with Campus Crusade for Christ in Bangkok, Thailand, and was the top overall police recruit from the Phoenix Regional Police Academy in 1987. In 1993 Mark completed his graduate degree in exegetical theology from Western Conservative Baptist Seminary. During his police career he received the Phoenix Police Department’s Medal of Merit, the Police Chief’s Unit Award and the Protect & Serve community leadership award from RequireThePrior.org. For fourteen years Mark was an executive board member of the largest police association in Arizona, the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA). He was the president of PLEA from 2007 until 2011 and, along with the PLEA board of trustees, served over 2,300 rank-and-file Phoenix Police Officers and Detectives. In July 2009, the Arizona Republic reported that Mark, in “his first two years as union president…earned…a reputation as a harsh critic of police management and a relentless advocate for Phoenix patrol officers.” Mark has been interviewed by local, international (CNN), and national (Fox National News) cable news outlets, has been quoted in numerous print publications (The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Nation, The Arizona Republic, Phoenix Magazine) and has participated on radio talk shows across the country: topics discussed included illegal immigration, police suicide, border violence, and police management pension violations. He has served in both an adjunct and guest faculty position at Arizona Christian University, Phoenix Seminary, Paradise Valley Community College and Glendale Community College. While still a sworn first-responder, he partnered with F.A.I.R. (Federation for American Immigration Reform) and Judicial Watch in reference to front-line law enforcement perspectives on illegal immigration and government corruption. His role as the voice of the largest police association in Arizona garnered him the title as being one of “three of the most polarizing figures in Arizona politics” by the Phoenix New Times in 2011.  His retirement from the Phoenix Police Department in January 2012 ended a twenty-five-year career in which Mark and the PLEA team cultivated powerful community partnerships and facilitated unprecedented bipartisan support for rights of rank-and-file Arizona law enforcement. Mark is the author of A Moment In Timeand is the founder and co-director of Bema Investments (www.bemainvestments.org), a non-profit corporation which teaches Judeo-Christian leadership principles and facilitates charitable outreach efforts. He served as the chaplain of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) which represents over 17,000 Border Patrol agents.

A Message from our President, Linda E. Rizzo

Paradise... Can we keep it?

By the time we meet in November we may not even know the election results in Maricopa County. Election Officials say it may take 10-13 days. Yes, this is outrageous. So, let's help them speed things up. If you have a mail-in ballot, get it in the mail now! Don't hold it. If you need information to complete it, we have links to golden ticket and proposition recommendations. Remember R all the way down the ballot. We vote for our candidates!

Get our Golden Ticket here.

see Ballot Proposition recommendations here from AZFree Enterprise.

We encourage all of you to Vote NO on Prop139 which will enshrine in the AZ Constitution abortion up to birth and eliminate all parental notification, requirements for medical doctors to perform the procedure, sanitation requirements, and eliminate all restrictions, current and future. Abortion is currently lawful up to 15 weeks as is medical attention for emergencies and life threatening conditions such as miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. DO NOT BE DECEIVED.

The AzFRW meeting in Tucson was terrific! The next one is in Tempe in February. We'll keep you up to date on that.

I look forward to seeing you at our meeting!

Best regards,

Linda E. Rizzo

Caring For America

The Scottsdale Police Foundation

The Scottsdale Police Foundation provides life-saving tools and equipment that otherwise would go unfunded. Examples are better protective equipment for the SWAT team, replacing out-dated equipment, as well as providing new technology for the special investigations unit. Our equipment donations focus on fulfilling the needs requested by the police officers to help keep them and residents safe. Scottsdale Police Department Officers are here to Protect and Serve our Community and together we can help make our neighborhoods safer for all.

Membership Has its Perks...

A Message from:

Desiree Soli

Vice Chair of Membership

We are approaching election day and I would like to thank everyone who signed up to walk their neighborhoods and hand out literature. I would also like to encourage anyone who is interested in electioneering to get involved. Having people at every polling place on election day and handing out the Golden Tickets is very rewarding. Meeting new like minded people is great and maybe getting some of the women to join our club would be awesome.

On another note, it is that time of year again to renew your membership with our club. Please do so online or bring a check to our next meeting. For all of you who renew by December you will receive 2 tickets for our 50/50 drawing in January. Look forward to 2025 and working with all of you to help elect Republicans to all offices and keeping Arizona RED!

We are also having a membership drive and encourage all of you to bring guests to our meetings. Encourage your friends and family members to join our club and the person who brings in the most new members by the end of the year will receive a $100 Visa gift card. Ladies, I know you can help us grow and build this club so we can gather together for fun and Save our State at the same time. Good luck to you all and look forward to seeing all of you at our next meeting.
