Spam Notification and Warning

Several parishioners have reported emails and cell phone text messages from someone claiming to be Father Pat that lead to requests for money or other things. The Church and Father Pat will NEVER ask for money or information in this way. If you are approached like this, please do NOT respond and report to the parish office.

As a general reminder, spam attempts will normally attempt to have you purchase gift cards and then pass them the money in this way. Charities, bill collectors, government offices, technical support, etc. will NEVER ask you to buy gift cards to pay them.

The Halloween Candy Collection was a huge success! Thank you to our parishioners, Religious Ed, and Preschool families for your donations to Holiday Express.

Bishop's Annual Catholic Appeal Update

The 2023 Bishop's Annual Appeal final outreach sent by the Diocese arrived in homes earlier this month. Thank you to those who have already made a gift to get our parish to $131,000, toward our goal of $155,000, for this year's Annual Catholic Appeal. If we raise another $24,000 to meet our goal, St. Catharine's will receive a $23,250 rebate from the Diocese.

St. Catharine's has an unusually large number of parishioners who donated to last year's appeal, but have not yet donated this year. If you would like to make a gift to help our parish reach our goal, please fill out a pledge card available in the church office or through me.

Every gift helps us get closer to the goal. Gifts to the 2023 appeal are being accepted until 12/31/2023. Your support means the world to us - thank you for your consideration!  If you have any questions, please contact Bob Buus at 732-946-8615 or e-mail to w2od@aol.com.

SVdP Thank You and Thanksgiving Baskets

Thank you always for your generous support during our monthly food donations. Your generosity has helped fill our pantry and we appreciate your help! As we move into our holiday season, below are more opportunities to help families in need in our area.

Thanks to Walter Burger

Walter Burger, facilities manager, has left his position at St. Catharine Church. Walter had experience in managing projects, diagnosing building issues and so much more. We are grateful for his time spent at St. Catharine’s and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Talk to a Priest

  • Struggling with a life event and in need of spiritual assistance?
  • Want to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance outside the normal Confession times?
  • Trying to find your way back to engagement with the Church?
  • Discerning vocation?
  • Looking to complete your Sacraments of Initiation and wish to chat about the journey?

St. Catharine is offering the opportunity for parishioners to chat with a priest who is only indirectly engaged with the parish. If interested, please contact Fr. Mike Walsh by phone 732-780-2666 x205 or email frmike.walsh@stmaryscoltsneck.org

"How Great is Our God" Eucharistic Revival Event

Holy Hour - St. Mary Mother of God

On December 12, 1531 Our Lady appeared to an Aztec man, St. Juan Diego, and requested that a shrine be built on Tepeyac hill. She gave him the miraculous image of her, seen above. Through her image nine

million Aztecs were converted to Christ and abandoned the practice of human sacrifice.

Today Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the pro life movement, as we work to end the practice of human sacrifice through abortion and uphold the dignity of every human life. Our strongest weapon in this battle is prayer. Please join us the second Tuesday of each month as we observe a Holy Hour for life.
