From authentic originals to ever-evolving designs, Stormy Kromer caps celebrate the art of hat and headwear design.

Living the Waupaca Way

Living the Waupaca Way Coalition and the Waupaca County Hunger Network are excited to announce information about their annual Special Holiday Foods Food Drive. We are thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity to help serve families and individuals in need this holiday season!

First, we are holding a food drive to collect Thanksgiving meal items (please see attached flier for a list of items) that will compliment a turkey (more details to come) a to create a Special Holiday Foods Meal Bundle. There are multiple collection sites this year, which include the Waupaca County Courthouse, Waupaca Public Library, Foundations For Living, and Aquamos Coffee Collective. Collection will run through November 13th. The meal kits will then be assembled and available for distribution the week leading up to Thanksgiving.

Second, we would like your help in nominating families and individuals to receive these holiday food bundles! Here is the link to a nomination form, This form is intended for you all to nominate recipients of this food. We are asking that you, as the nominator, oversee distribution of the food the week before Thanksgiving. Distribution will take place Monday November 20th- Tuesday November 21st. There is no eligibility requirement to be a recipient of the food, and we want to highlight the target audience of those who may fall through the cracks of other food benefit services. This month, we are full of gratitude. WE live in a vibrant community that has a gigantic all city Halloween party with hundreds of glowing carved pumpkins, a community that comes out and celebrates the coming of the Yuletide season with a community cookie walk, caroling, tree lighting and a Trolley; a community that searches for ways to make sure that we all feel that we belong. Are we perfect? No, but we keep trying. It’s the Waupaca Way. Thank you Waupaca, for supporting the arts and for being such a generous community in so many ways!
