The K&J Duo, a husband and wife duo from Waupaca will be our November guests. Kathy and John Hammond perform traditional and popular sing-along standards, with a few Christian Folk originals. They provide special music for area churches. John is mostly self-taught with singing experience rooted in barbershop and church choir, playing in various local combos. Kathy has extensive piano and vocal training, teaching music and directing choirs for 32 years, as well as playing professionally with the likes of Steve Marche Torme. Together they have been making music, blending their individual talents, to create their own unique sound. We look forward to hearing their original tunes!

Fall Program: The Legend of Chief Waupaca with Dr. Ray Reser
Thursday, November 11, 6-8pm

Ray Reser, professor emeritus of archaeology at UW-Stevens Point, will bring light to both the history and legends of Waupaca in his program, “The Legend of Chief Waupaca.” Reser will delve into these legends and the prehistory of the Waupaca area, including the Menominee and Potawatomi relationships to the area, at his program.

Directed by Barbara Laedtke, this production was performed live at the Gerold Opera House, and will air once more on November 1 on WAUP, 99.1FM.

The Last of the Big Bands from Green Bay will be back playing all the big band favorites on Friday, November 5th at the Gerold Opera House. The dance floor will be open! Doors open at 6pm, concert at 7pm.

The Weyauwega International Film Festival will take place from November 11-13.
We are excited to be returning to the Gerold Opera House in Weyauwega for our 11th annual festival. 2021 will be a hybrid festival with three days of live screenings with filmmakers along with more films available to screen online. 74 films from around the globe featuring many Wisconsin films. The live screenings at the Gerold feature many local films and we expect to have many filmmakers in attendance.
Festival passes are available to attend the festival and also screen more films online at the festival website, below.
Covid guidelines will be in place so plan to mask while attending the film festival.
