EXECUTION PHASE

Solar Panel Project at CRC
The CRC Solar Project is nearly complete, awaiting final inspection and ComEd authorization to activate the panels. Solar Panels are expected to be live in the next few weeks.

EXECUTION PHASE

Community Recreation Center – Restoration Project

Restoration work has begun. Initial efforts include staging materials, coordinating logistics and preparing the building for subsequent phases. In late November and early December, construction will focus on the second floor of the CRC including the Center Fitness Club.

Hibbard Park OSLAD Project

Hibbard Park construction is working through final punch-list items. The ECC Tot-Lot is officially open following staff safety audits and site preparations.

A D D I T I O N A L

U P D A T E S

COMMUNITY COLLABORATION - A food drive between New Trier Township, the Village, the Library, and the Park District began this November to serve the New Trier Township Food Pantry. The donation boxes at the CRC have filled up several times already, and we’ve made a few deliveries to the Pantry.

SUSTAINABILITY - Sustainability efforts continue to expand, with over 3,500 lbs of compost collected this fall across the five-drop off stations. Early results from the compost community survey are positive.

FINANCE UPDATE - The Truth in Taxation Resolution (2025-R-9) was approved, establishing a proposed Truth in Taxation levy increase of 4.72% and an overall tax levy increase of 4.10% for the 2025 levy year. While a public hearing is not required, the District has scheduled one for December 8, 2025.

COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING: 
The COW Meeting scheduled for Monday, December 15 has been cancelled.


NOTE: Starting in February of 2026, Wilmette Park District will no longer print full meeting packets. A QR code and link to an online packet will be made available. To request a printed packet for an upcoming meeting, please contact mparson@wilpark.org a minimum of two hours prior to the meeting start time.
